I've heard that when you get to 100,000 they'll just roll back the odometer and sell you as new!
 
Erm, thing about that counter is that most forums can go up to several million, and the cut-off point is defined by one of two things;
1. The size of the column where it's held - which is probably big enough for 16 or 17 figures,
2. The value limit - depending on what type of number it was created as in memory. Now 100,000 would be an odd cut-off point, because that would be bad practise in coding; Normally it'd stop at a power of 2, because of how computers count. There isn't any good reason for cutting it off at 99,999 because it would take the same amount of space to create (incidentally, seventeen bits) as 131,071. Most forums use something like 31 bits and thus end up with a post cap of 4 billion.
