Doesn't sound like it was fun.

Glad you are feeling a bit better now.

(*8*) Man that sucks. :(

I don't blame you for not wanting to just pop in an antacid. Hope everything goes well with your GP, that it's nothing worrying and totally preventable. :D

What an AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

I'm glad they found nothing MAJOR wrong...

And I am CERTAINLY GLAD that you had the sense to call 911!! ..|

FEEL BETTER!!!

:-):-):-)

Personally, I think it may be gallbladder related, and as I see my GP a week tomorrow

Can't you get that appt. move up a bit? Waiting a week seems a bit long. Glad you're at least feeling better now. (*8*)

Glad that the worst is over and it seems to have been nothing serious. It definitely sounds like one of the most unpleasant physical sensations that anyone could have to go through.Hope it can be found what brought it on when you see your doctor,be it gall bladder or digestive related just for peace of mind though,Ger.

smart idea Gery to call the 911 under the conditions you described.

by all means let your GP know what is going on, so he can try and find the cause of what took place.

you might want to call him tomorrow and chat with him about what happened and maybe he can see you sooner.

take care.(*8*)

gerry it jst MIGHT be the gallbladder. that pain is not ebb and flow. itis constant until the stone passes it is intense and heavy and takes all your attention. please follow up on it.
ding

Sorry to hear about it Ger. SSRI's also have delayed reactions like they do time to build up to active levels. So yes some anti-depressents can take 14-21 days for a side effect to reveal itsself. Anyways take care. At our age the stomach is the first thing to go....Oh no that wasn't right. Our minds are the first thing to go. by the way have you seen mine. I could have sworn it was right here.

While it could be gallbladder, in my experience (empathing others who later had theirs removed) that pain is located near the solar plexus. But pain can be referred, and not everyone is the same, and gods know I'm not a doctor.

I'm sorry that happened, and I'm glad you're OK. Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear about that, G...

I've been through the kidney stone thing myself, and if it was anything like that you have my deepest sympathy. (*8*)

It might be the SRRI's.... Back when I was on Zoloft it irritated the hell out of my stomach, bad enough to the point that I had to stop taking them... But that discomfort didn't start until about a month after I started on them.

Also, sad to say that the tannic acid in tea can compound the problem.

It may be a case of your stomach producing too much acid. If I were you, I'd get some Pepcid AC from the store and take one a day for a few days and see if that helps. They work wonders for me.

Keep in mind that if you're in a constant state of worry and anxiety, your stomach is the second thing after your brain to feel it.

I say this from experience.. Feel better, babe.

The gall bladder reacts to fat. If it's stomach acid, milk will give very short-term relief, but then make things worse. The day you go to the doctor, try to eat just what you ate the day this happened. Having the pain WHILE you're at the doctor is diagnostically useful (unless your doctor is a bozo).

My gallbladder died on me with no forwarning, just one night bam the most intense pain I have ever known right under my right breast around to my back. If this sounds like it PLEASE dont hesitate to see your doctor as soon as you can. I almost died from waiting just overnight.

Ger!

Wow!

Now, don't fret about being a little embarassed about "it"; for it's best to be sure than sorry; for ya don't get a second chance if it's the BIG one!

I hope the EMT's didn't give you shit for callin 911; for it's their job to do what they do...

Just because it wasn't any indication of a problem at this time; do NOT fail to call if it should happen again...

K?

Hang in there my friend, if ya need to talk, just PM!(*8*)

Good call...I do hope that -U- -R- feelin' a bit better....Yuki
