I know shaking hands is not necessarily a symptom of old age but we can't escape the fact that that's how many people view it.

We need to be strategic about this. If we go with Bernie, we risk losing the moderates.

You know that Hilary had to be carried out of the 9/11 memorial, and Bush Sr. puked all over the PM of Japan, remember? In comparison, Shakey hands is no big deal.

I agree that Biden, who also appears old, has good enough press to lead the ticket. He isn't as inspiring as Sanders, but he's politically connected well enough and savvy enough to whip Trump at the debate podia.

If he does get the nomination, his running mate won't be Beto. Can't be another white guy. Will be a woman or a Latino, and obviously not from the Northeast.

Biden has a chance. Sanders doesn't, although I'd vote for him on principle, which is why he would be bad for the ticket. There wouldn't be any GOP defectors voting for Sanders.

And there are plenty of age bigots like Aristo and Colbert who would just see old and connote all the things they associate with old people, an obvious bigotry.

The majority of Democrats and Independents like Bernie. And many Republicans do as well. Here is an old poll. His favorably numbers are even higher now. He will have no problem if The DNC doesn't cheat again, but the Dem leadership has shown they would whether lose to a Republican than win with a Progressive.

Sanders, an independent who caucuses with Senate Democrats, is most popular among Democrats (78%), as would be expected, but a majority of independents (54%) also view him favorably. Meanwhile, more than twice as many Republicans view him unfavorably (69%) as favorably (26%).

Few thought we'd see a black man as President... Obama won.

Few thought we'd se a con man as President.... somehow Donald Trump won.

The old expectations and common wisdom are out the window, and I wouldn't bet against Bernie.

I won't bet the ranch on him, and certainly not going to be Bernie or bust(which means Trump gets in again)

But I wouldn't be shocked to see Bernie win it all.... the nomination and the Presidency.
