xDD I'm sending this to people. No one wants to give me a yob. and I need a yob real bad. :(

It's perfect! Just what I needed for a good chuckle. I've often had the same thoughts about potential employers, and you expressed the frustration and exasperation so well. Good luck w/ your job hunt!

I'm printing this out for my partner. He's been out of work for nearly two years now and is facing pretty much what you describe. His frustration comes from the simple fact of not hearing from nearly every place he has sent his resume

It is a sad fact that inadequate management hire even more inadequate staff to make them look good. You are plainly a threat to them. My boss once got rid of our greatest asset in an employee because the inadequate management he employed didn't like the fact that she made them look stupid. Now that I am management I won't let him forget this and I am hoping and fighting to get her back. I've already quit this job once in protest at those in charge and their incompetence. The boss asked me to come back. It is certainly not that I am good, I hate management, but I am not as bad as what has gone before. I fully expect to walk out again soon in protest at the boss who does everything he can to belittle his staff and bolster his ego whilst achieving nothing and steering the company onto the rocks as he has done since his Dad was forced to hand it over to him.

Oh and I have told him all this. I wish you well in your search for employment in this crazy world where focus is not on ability but on making those who have none look better.

I make a point of being able to quit any time I want. Life is too short to not enjoy the major part of it, ie. work. If anyone asks me to do something that I regard as stupid and they can't justify it to me, then I will speak up every time. I mean if I ask someone to do something a certain way then I have a reason and am happy to justify it if asked or to modify it if a better suggestion comes up.

Ooh, it looks as if I touched a nerve.

Honestly, though, Flippy, these are not the economic times to sass the boss. We do as we're told, don't complain, and show our worth to our employers---and our jobs are safer than those of employees who don't play Cricket.

A squeaky wheel is the first one that gets the grease--but also the first wheel to be replaced; think about it.

This sounds like a wuss. I wouldn't hire you based on this. " We do as we're told and don't complain and show our worth to our employers".......... wow!
Its not that you don't have some merit in message ,but w-h-i-m-p , screams of whimp and kiss ass.
Plus people I've worked with this sort of attitude would likely stab anyone in the back if they thought it would get brownie points with the boss.

FlipPy, let's start our own business. Fuck being employed!

I was tempted to post something of a similiar style in a job wanted ad myself.
