I'm of the opinion that sexuality is a continuum, no one is really, absolutely, 100% straight, so take this with that particular grain of salt. . .

Haven't belonged to a gym for a while, but when I did, it was my campus gym, so it was usually fairly crowded and had a fairly high percentage of good-looking dudes, very into their bodies. This was back when I thought I was straight, but still I really dug checking out (discreetly mind you, I'm not a burning-eyed pervert!) a guy's well-worked body -- I honestly think any dude is a liar, no matter how straight they claim to be, who says he really doesn't get off on looking at hot guys, especially naked, fit hot guys (I mean, look at how many guys watch televised professional sports, the coverage of which is more than a little homoerotic, no?).

Plus, as a recovering straight dude i can tell you that I thought A LOT about those guys in a sexual way, even though I THOUGHT I was straight. Now you can say, well didn't you have a clue, Buck??? But I think it's more than that, it's that sexuality-as-continuum.

I have a pretty mediocre, passable body, but loved to hang out naked, weighing myself, comb hair, toweling off (all the while checking guys out as coolly as possible), and so did a lot of other guys. And of course there were two kinds of sauna users: naked and swim-trunks-or-towel. More than just flaunting what you got, it's like there's a certain kind of dude who just loves sort of luxuriating in this kind of elemental masculinity.

I agree with the other posters who said a hot, fit guy (or gal) is one of the most beautiful things around! And maybe if I ever renew my gym membership I bet I'll even be a little less discreet . . .

I'm gay but even I don't really check out anyone in the locker room. I hate it when I notice a guy checking me out in there, no matter how good looking he may be. The locker room is just a place for people to change clothes and shower (and hang out if you are in a locker room with your sports team). If I am in a locker room, I am just trying to get changed and get out (maybe talk or joke around with my teammates if I am in there after lacrosse practice or something). I assume many straight guys would probably feel the same way.

Sorry, but there are 100% heterosexual men just as there are 100% homosexual men. They all may not be disgusted, by homosexual acts, but it does not mean that they get off on them either. Pure heterosexuals do exist.

Lets be real, every guy has at least one time checked another guy in the locker room, despite being straight or gay.
I think its a nice place to check out some hotties after a nice workout in the gym...now, be carefull, you don't want to get a boner while at it, so don't wonder too much. =P

This takes me back to an instance years ago when a co-worker and I would swim laps at a nearby pool at lunchtimes.

After our swim one day, naked in the changing room, a class of schoolboys came in to get changed and do their thing. I noticed that of all these boys, all of them rowdy and involved in their own antics, one boy was earnestly and persistently checking me and my friend out. He could not stop looking at us.

None of the other boys took the slightest bit of interest. I remember thinking at the time, this kid is the one gay kid in the bunch.

I notice straight guys checking out other guys all the time at my gym. Some of them even pose naked and loved to be looked at. Some not at all. We are all so different. But, they do look. Who knows what they are thinking though. That is a different story altogether.

Now I love being naked outdoors in secluded settings when the weather is nice, but never take showers at the gym or even seldom change there. Go figure.

Who really knows what goes on inside another person's head? Lots of times we do things without even thinking or realizing what we are doing.

However, I will venture a few opinions:

- all guys love their cocks (gay, straight, and bi)

- for a lot of guys, it's important to know where they stand in the pecking order when it comes to penis size

-for most straight guys, the only time they will see another man's penis is in the locker room

-therefore, I think a lot of straight men will check out (discretely) other men's penises

I mostly keep to myself in the locker room and although I don't stare or blatantly check out other guys I definately keep my eyes open and make a mental note when a hot guy is naked. I go to the gym before work and the regulars are pretty casual about nudity so there is always lots of naked men in the locker room. I do notice when a new guy (especially if he is a young guy) starts working out regularly in the morning. Lots of times they are more cautious about nudity, wrapping a towel around their waist while walking to the shower, and keeping the amount of time they are naked to a minimum. However, I have noticed lots of these guys become more and more naked as time goes on. One day they just stop wearing the towel and they go naked after that.

To be honest, knowing how perverted some gay men would be, if I was straight I'd feel honestly worried about another guy checking me out or getting too close. Unfortunately, with the way the world is, sometimes gay guys let a little male affection go to their heads too much....and I just worry about what the whole thing does to everybody involved emotionally.

If you wrote this sole post with the intention of getting aroused from some fantasy you have, just know that there's always real people you're dealing with. And in real life, would you really act like this? I mean the sad part about the internet is it gives people free permission to be whores. Why not just act the same you do as in real life. then maybe I could get attracted to you as a person not just as a 'straight' or 'gay' guy. Just a thought.

But yeah this has nothing to do with orientation, since it's normal for every guy to check other guys out.
