A random question though, to all you connoisseurs of porn: I am suddenly having a panic fit over the issue of copyright in terms of putting pics on blogs from other sites. I feel rather depressed about it because if the stringent copyright rules were all adhered to, then nothing creative or interesting would ever be done. But then, if the law is the law...

What do you think?

I am no lawyer/barrister, however, I would think that as long as you do not claim ownership, nor origination, of those images, and are not attempting to profit from them, and would take them down if asked by the rightful owners, then I think you should be O.K.

If the copyright laws, in all the countries, were adamantly, strictly, and avidly enforced, in today's age of The Internet, at least 90% of Earth's population would be sentenced to prison, but there wouldn't be any one left to enforce that, either.

The main idea behind copyrights is to protect the profit potential of business ventures. I doubt they would be willing to prosecute your posting of their images since the way you do so is more of a promotion, advertisement, of the work they do.

As long as credit is given where credit is due, you shouldn't expect any problems.

Well, I only ask really, because I'm writing to various companies/ organisations for permission to reproduce images for a book I'm writing, and there was one organisation that was so anal about it.

I think officially, putting up pics on blogs is illegal. It just makes me so nervous . And yet you're right: all I'm doing is promoting the work and enjoying it.

Another reason people object, is that they want money, basically. They want you to pay them to use their images. But no one could afford to pay the prices they demand. It seems like a lose-lose situation .

I have enjoyed your blog posts. I read some of your poetry but my brain isn't wired to appreciate literary art so I get distracted and look at your photos instead. I will have to concentrate harder.
