not every straight person is bent on a homosexual genocide and as for women aborting their gay child, well they dont deserve to be mothers anyway

I wouldn't either, truth be told. Sometimes we have to stop looking at things from an broad political perspective and more from a human one. What good would it serve a child who's born predisposed to being gay to have homophobic parents? It might seem like genocide, but if someone is anti-gay enough to abort a possibly gay child or take advantage of a "cure" that would stop their fetus from being born with a gay gene, then I say let them do it.

I wonder how people that are anti-gay yet pro-life would view such a procedure.

This will be the sure tell sign if someone is Pro Life or not.

If someone who is truly and honestly Pro Life, I see their views changing on homosexuality.

If they aren't and they want to abort a child that has this, then they weren't really true and honest Pro Lifers to begin with.

Great. so all gay people will come from poor families and third-world countries. But you know that most people would abort a gay baby.

Not everyone is that heartless, I don't see people aborting babies that have Down syndrome (yes there might be some people, but not everyone). Also, the religious people would be seen as hypocrites since they do not support abortion. They would most likely see this as a test from God. They would have the child and try and make them straight, since they believe that even if there is a gene it’s not 100% in control of your behavior. They always use the alcoholism analogy when discussing genes and homosexuality. They say that children with alcoholic parents have the predisposition to be one, but if they stay away from it they don't become alcoholics, so they see the environment and genes interacting to make alcoholics and that's how they view homosexuality as well.

Funny thing, why everyone is thinking that there will be "a" Gay Gene? biology is complex, is not just take something to avoid the result that you don't like. One thing that you guys seem to forget too: bisexuality. Does a bisexual has a lesser Gay Gene? Would a parent kill a children who is detected as bisexual? can you even be sure that a child will actually be 100% gay?

I don't think that single genes necessarily determines one single trait. The gene that designates sexual orientation could also be the one that designates levels of hearing, vision, learning proficiency, etc., etc. So to tamper with it may wind up being detrimental to other developmental factors.

Exactly my point. People should learn more about genetics than what they see on Heroes.

I do understand your point, and I know that your heart is in the right place . But rather than sacrificing the kid life we should invest in making parents better.
