i thought it is funny the reportor talks to the hollogram. Not sure the hollogram can see him tho.

Yeah, it's serious....

But, to me it looked like a whole lot of technology at work that didn't amount to much of anything...

The 'hologramed' reporter had to stand in a tent with at least 35 digital cameras around her, and as their signal was broadcast it looked more or less like the Princess Laya "Help me, Obiwan.. You're my only hope" scene to my generation..

Silence, R2 !!

All in all, it was pretty silly. 'Sound and Fury signifying nothing'.

"at least 35 digital cameras " are you serious? what a waste of energy and yes it looks silly. I though "WTF" can the hollogram person see anything ?

We would see the same thing as Cooper. Only by looking at a monitor.

Isnt this something like what they did to enable Celine Dion and Elvis to duet on American Idol.

I think there's a lot of "technology" that doesn't actually add any value at all--it's just a fancy thing to draw attention and that's it. All those touch screens--what about the fact that the print was often so small you couldn't read it?

John King was still playing with his magic wall tonight. Ok Johnny, Christmas morning is over, put your toys away and give them a rest.

Its cool..but I thought it was a bit silly seeing they used it for that purpose.

I hope this advance technology won't be wasted into the use of future chatrooms and such.

I think they should start creating hollograms for the purpose of safety and protection. For example, an empty home with the family on vacation can reduce the risk of robbery.

Purposes that has greater meanings then this.

I guess they used even more for the "Bullet Time" scene in Matrix.
