I had just picked up my books from the flimsy little chair I had to sit on for my class. Apparently taking extra classes was beginning to tick me off; I had perfect grades but I just wanted to polish my Maths as much as I could.
I was young, 18 but looked really young. I have very dark green eyes, a small frame but lean and dark brown hair. To sum it up I was 'pretty', some people actually teased me about being as pretty as a girl. It had been a month since I had started taking this class and I was just hoping to get through this ordeal of a necessity as invisible and unseen as I could.
I always thought of myself as vulnerable and sensitive. Not really weepy and teary eyed all the time but some things hurt me more than it would to other people, and it was really hampering my social life. Apart from eight of my best friends I did not have any more good friends, just a large group of acquaintances.
I reached for the door and glanced a wink at some of the people I knew out in the courtyard and made my way towards the gate of the institution. I was just standing there when I heard someone calling me. Looking back I saw a somewhat familiar face; he was 6 foot 2, brown hair and eyes and a face to die for. Right beside him was another boy, he was about 5 foot 7, black hair and brown eyes and was somewhat cute. I didn't really understand what they were calling me but nevertheless I got the hint and walked towards them.
"Hey which school are you in?" The Tall one asked.
"Charlesborough."
"Heh, you don't really look like a senior from Charlesborough. You look too young!" He snapped.
"I don't know, its genetics" I smiled back.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" The topic changed.
"No, I don't. I never had one."
"You don't have to lie to us, I mean if you do have one tell us. Why are you trying to keep it a secret?"
"I don't, dude I told you."
"Well then who are you texting all the time, and smiling like you are a euphoric idiot all the time in class." He tried to reason.
"No that is just a friend, I am not in a relationship with anyone."
"Ohh, well I guess I should tell you that you are the cutest guy I have ever seen in my life and I am absolutely in love with you."
"Heh, I'm flattered," I stuttered confused.
"Yes well I am, I find you absolutely adoring."
"I'm flattered I guess, but listen I have got to go. It was weird-nice talking to you."
I turned away after this insanely weird conversation, but I seriously felt attracted a lot to this guy. I just thought maybe I should give him a hug, even though he was clearly joking around with me.
"Bro, give me a hug at least," he beat me to the invitation.
I leaned in at his insistence and just then he kissed me on the cheek. It felt electric, but I had no idea how to respond. I kicked him lightly on the shin and shouted,
"Dude what the fuck was that?" and ran away.
