Styx and REO Speedwagon were in concert here last night. My partner and I went and had a really great time. I had actually seen REO several years back when they were here with BTO and Cheap Trick. Kevin Cronin has short gray hair these days, but the voice is doing just fine.

Styx actually opened the show and I believe they did a better job of the two acts. Even though Dennis DeYoung is no longer with the group, his replacement was not bad at all. Tommy Shaw was amazing and looks almost the same as he did 25 years ago.

This was definitely my scene. I drank a couple of beers for the first time in who knows when. We had seats just 10 rows from the stage.

I was suprised that Styx didn't do Babe or Mr. Roboto. Of course their catalog has so many hits in it that they probably had to pick and choose what to play. Renegade nearly brought the house down as did Come Sail Away.

REO did really well with their power ballads Can't Fight This Feeling and Time for Me to Fly.

Ahhh, I feel so much better today! I need to get out more often!
