A Nightmare on Elm Steet

Its a shame Hollywood won't take the risk for a new venture and new creeps on horror flicks. Instead of re-doing the same already done worn out franchise like Freddy or Jason, they want a ready made hit from some thing that sold well in the past. Like insurance companies don't want to take the risk just the profit and milk it they do.

This movie with the gay actor playing Freddie sucked crap big time.

Saw it last night. Wasn't ALL bad but I wasn't too impressed either. Not really feeling the new Freddy (OR his voice!). But yeah it did have some pretty cool things in it.

Hey, vulgar_newcomer, I just noticed your post count; 666.

;)

I saw this the other day when it was released down here.

I went in with low expectations becuase I'm such a fan of the original series, but I enjoyed this one.

I like how they showed Freddy before he was burnt and I liked how the kids were more directly linked to Freddy. It was cool to see a little bit more of the parents story and what they did and how they tried to cover it all up. The 'micro-nap' idea was pretty neat too.

The worst parts about the movie were probably all the sense they re-created from the original. Kris' death was no where near as creepy and effective as Tina's from the original, and the recycled lines from part 4 and Freddy vs. Jason stood out as annoying.

But I enjoyed it for what it was.
