A No Turkey Thanksgiving

the family usually likes a turkey,
but at my dinners, i prefer to serve cornish hens

Even though I am an almost vegetarian - enough of that - one should at least cook a turkey at least for tradition and show, and if it is not eaten then donate it to some park vagrants. The problem with many people today is that the aversion to tradition has become a tradition in itself - a non-possession becomes a status symbol - for the sake of the universe - at least cook a turkey.

Well, up until a couple of hours ago I thought I'd just order some
'house lo mein' and shrimp and lobster sauce from my fav Chinese
restaurant that's open, but....

Our very STR8 neighbors have just invited me over for the whole
'deep fried turkey thing' seeing as Keith is up north, and I'm flying solo
this year.

Ehh...

Let's stand around the pool while the turkey fries and talk about football
and chicks with big titties and Budweiser...

Hmm, that lo mein is sounding better and better....

I'm not sure what to do.

It's just my mom and I this year, so we're having a hen
