I would think taxi's would not be a problem. Parking? I don't know that area very well. I would imagine if Crush does not have parking, there would be street parking!
I did a google earth ofthe area, and looks like a parking lot across the street. That is if it is not a private parking.
 
Hey, good news! A new keyboard!

Don't worry at all about taxis. Crush has a close relationship with Radio Cab, and they come and go all the time. From downtown I doubt the bill would be more than $5-6. And the bus is almost at the front door...

I wouldn't even look for a nearby hotel. You would be closer to so many more fun things from a downtown hotel.

Parking is on the street, and plentiful.

I'd also volunteer to meet anyone (Melody?) at a downtown hotel, and bus (5-10 minutes ride) or taxi on to Crush from there.

BTW, Crush is expecting from 6-9, but I'd like to give them a final on Friday. Depending on our number, there are two different seating areas that can be held for us.
 
Ya, I'm still planning to go. I've been travelling way too much this year already, but I'm interested to meet some of you folks in real life. Which reminds me--I should book a hotel downtown before I go to bed tonight.

I've never gone wrong using Hotwire.com to find hotels. You might want to try it.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and all the others who didn't make it to our last meet! Just a few more days...
 
The problem with hotwire.com for Portland is that the areas you can select are fairly large. I prefer to stay downtown and on Hotwire you don't know what you're getting. What's a great price right near Pioneer Courthouse Square may not be when it's way out by Washington Park or north of the Pearl District. For now, I'm booked at the Marriott, which is close to everything and predictable.

Melody and I discovered this just tonight. Why does Hotwire have to include the Convention Center area with downtown? Makes no sense.
 
Fianl count 8. Not so bad, though several who had plans, work, or travel will be missed.
