OMG … why is it every time Barbara Walters is on the View, I find myself having a hard time sitting through the entire hour and looking for the sharpest objects to stick in my ears?! Whenever she is on the program, she high-jacks the show, never allows anyone to talk or even to give their own opinions, because she wants to be sooo "politically correct". I’m so sick of her, “well I’m a reporter so I have to be bias” … I yell at the television for her just to shut fuck up already. I’m sooo sick of the “who she knows stories“, and the “what she has done stories“. Barbara Walters drains the energy from the program, and Rosie was right, it is time for Barbara to retire already.
 
Yes, and Barbara reminds us daily how perfect the View is and how everyone gets along … the fake sweetness gives me stomach pains. When Rosie was on the show they had a lot of great A-List names, a lot of wonderful Broadway acts, and AMAZING hot topics. Now we are back to the useless shit hop topics, crappy guests, and even crappier filler segments.
 
its so funny u mentioned this. i was just thinking what an idiot she was on today's episode. i found her so irritating today. and i was just thinking this would be so much better if she wasnt there. she's the boss so everyone kinda sucks up to her.

she's always talking about some boring ass dinner she went to or some fundraiser. whoopi is very objective but she's so passive. joy has emerged as my favorite. she's really learned a lot about politics, but she's not as informed as rosie was. sherri is useless 90% of the time.

babs was so annoying today. shes not really objective. she basically kisses every famous persons ass. shes wont let anyone give their opinion about her stupid friends like giuliani. they should have really got kathy griffin she's hysterical and very informed and shes actually been to iraq. i knew she would never hire her because babs hates her
 
I agree. I like and respect Barbara Walters but "the View" would be better without her. It's just not her venue.
The other day when Mario Cantone was guest host and Joan Rivers was the guest, it was a hilarious segment.
When BW is there it reminds me of how an office party dulls up when the big boss is there.
 
Funny guys...I was thinking the same thing, I dvr the show so I get to fast forward through Babs remarks...the hot topics sessions are so much better when BW is not there, it more sincere on the opinions....does anyone ever notice how often BW makes remarks about how friendly and peaceful the co hosts are now? She's so fake, it's like on camera she's a nice sweet "I know everyone" lady, but off she's probably just a hag. Sorry, but I usually don't watch too much of the show when she is on.....agreed..she tries to please everyone...and is always quick to mention her "journalist" side can't comment attitude..anyways, ...agree..The View is little more boring without Rosie, but hopefully Whoopi soon emerges more assertive, I've noticed her facial expressions lately and seems she's holding back....Sherri.....what a joke, she can be funny 10% of the time, but she's almost like Elizabeth in her views...not the best choice as a co host.....and yeah, the guests are much more boring this season.,
 
I always get sick of her telling the audience that they're not really fighting and they all love and respect eachother blah blah blah. It seems like every episode I catch she brings this up at least once.
And I hate how she cuts people off, especially Joy, who is the only reason to watch this show anymore anyway.

Also, whenever the ladies get into a serious discussion about something thats pretty important, why does Sherri feel thats its neccasary to make some kind of joke or something? Its like shes wondering "Oooh I have nothing serious or intelligent to add, so I'll just say something funny." And then the discussion grinds to a halt.

And it seems Whoopi seems to be in a bad mood sometimes. I bet thats because she's trying to quit cigs.
 
Is it me or does it seem that wheen Barbara is on, Whoopi seems uninterested in the entire program. Almost like it is a bother to even be there and to speak.
 
I completely agree. I rejoice whenever I turn it on and she's not sitting at the table.
 
You mean like when she talks about how she was the first female coanchor on network television, or talks about her skinny friends who barely eat, or talks about bathing with her daughter, or talks about chacha talking to her?
 
sometimes they do talk about female issues but mostly its about things that affect everyone. they talk about the war, social issues, the media, and things going on in the world. a lot of times they talk about discrimination against women. a lot of that talk often relates to discrimination for sexuality, race, and religion. things we all have to deal with.
so what ur saying isn't dumb but ignorant. they don't talk about how to stick in a tampon or clean a vagina. if u notice many people have comment because its the only show of its kind beside bill maher which is on hiatus due to strike, where people actually give real opinions that are not lying politicians

That's fine, but why come into a thread about a show you don't watch or particularly have interest in--just to state why you don't watch it? Especially when the reasoning is so damn stupid.

So because it's a panel of women it couldn't possibly interest a man?

I completely agree! I hate when Barbara is on. It's always a better show when it's a guest host and not her. Not saying that the guest host always adds something to the show but it let's Whoopi and Joy talk more and say what they actually wanna say. I hate when Barbara does that weird voice where she opens her eyes really wide and like purses her lips she does it about 20 times each show....she really is just a crazy old lady who doesn't know what she's talking about anymore...lol
 
Wow all the Barbara hate! I guess I'm the first to disagree. I love the show! I don't even notice the difference when she's there and when she's not. The only beef I have is with Elizabeth but as much as I can't stand her she brings a different viewpoint to the table, so I think it's fine.
