I had same problem and to this day they never answered back or fixed issue I had. I finally just canceled and never went back and I still wont go back. Was a good site , but what good is it if they dont take care of customers issue and all they do is collect the money and run.
 
I've never had any luck getting responses from sites like that. It's like they're all but abandoned, whether or not they are updated regularly.
 
At one stage, I used to be a regular subscriber to various sites ... a different one a month. It was my "monthly treat"!

However, I had quite a few bad experiences. With one site, I found that the password they mailed me didn't work, so I contacted them for advice. No reply. Tried again. No reply. After the third time and several weeks, I just gave up. The annoying part is that the $29.95 went through and was debited from my credit card. I contacted ccbill, the agent, and they said I must take it up with the site. I replied that the site administrators/owners were not responding to my emails, but nothing ever happened.

With several sites, I have written with enquiries about their models etc and never received a reply. I would often re-send my mail after a week or so ... and in most cases still no reply.

Often when I DID receive a reply from certain sites, they would be short, abrupt responses, on the borderline of being rude. They more or less insinuate "how dare you bother us with your petty queries"!!!

So, if these sites don't offer customer service, they don't get my money. It's as simple as that!

I know that JUB review many sites. It's a pity those reviews don't extent to letting us know what the customer service is like.
 
Erg.

I try, even on vacation, to get back to people in a day or two. Not always possible, but it's pretty bad when you can't get any reaction at all from sites like that.
 
Is it not possible to contact some kind of trade practices adminstration or something to complain (depends on where the company is based I guess).

Out of interest, I went to the Boy Crush site, and found the following, posted by the owner:

"We love to hear feedback from our members. We offer email-based technical support with a reply window of 12 to 48 hours."

They're not delivering what they promise.
 
Alex, I was going to post something along those lines.

I often have Fratmen emails caught by spam filters and the customers think I just don't care.

For a while, AOL was blocking all Fratmen communication so it didn't even go into their spam folder.. it just bounced back to us.
 
Alex, I'll tell you, our 800 number doesn't' help much. We can only be there so many hours, and most calls seem to come in the middle of the night for some reason.

Anyway, it's nice to see a familiar face here. Putting a face on porn sites really does help, I think. Lots of people have this warped idea that all we do is sit around and snort coke off the asses of twinks, when in reality any site that's lasted is run by people who don't do coke and spend most of their time working.
 
Oh I'm with you.

Fratmen, FratmenTV and Fratpad are a lot of work but in the end, it's worth it to see the finished product that you're proud to call your own.

I hate it, unfortunately I need to connect to the internet hehe but all my porn e-mails go to yahoo ;)
 
and its nice to have in a place we can track them down! :D

oh and stacy, the only spam I get in my aol is for lesbian porn....hoping its not a sign of some sort hehe
 
I always check my spam box because so many legit emails end up there. Spam filtering has not been perfected yet and probably never will be. That's why I always check.

Glad to see the problem between darling stacey and Boy Crush has been sorted. Boy Crush is a very good site, and I believe the guys there do a good job.

Just one thing, despite the misunderstanding with this particular case, there are STILL sites with zero customer service. In a post below, one of our members made a very valid point:

I just bought a membership to Boy Crush, and I think I'll cancel it before it renews next month...I'm way into twinks...I'm all about the twink boyz, so they are right up my alley, but there's just not enough content to justify 25 bucks a month. Good stuff, but not enough of it for the dough.

Can anybody recommend a better twink site? I've been pretty happy with 8teenboy.com and hotstuds.com (they come as a package deal from Helix), but I thought I'd mix it up and try Boy Crush for a while instead...now I'm rethinking that...I'd definitely appreciate any suggestions!
 
Sadly I don't think it matters much if to the porn watchers to know that the staff of a porn site is responsive. They just want to know if the site has hot guys and hot action.

One good thing that we do have on those reviews though is the ability for you to leave a review yourself beneath our official content review. It's like epinion or amazon. For any site we review, there is a comment box at the bottom where all the users here can leave their own review of the site. The more people who share experiences there, the better the whole system will become. It will certainly become the most useful review system on the net if everyone pitches in and helps. :)

Regarding AOL. We hate them. They are the proverbial pain in the ass and we are "this close" to not taking any registrations from new people who try to use aol as their email. They make it to ridiculously easy to report spam and some of the people who surf the web don't need that kind of power. Here are some examples... This forum automatically sends people a message on their birthday saying "Happy Birthday". Everyweek at least one AOL user reports that as spam. A couple of times a week, AOL users report the email that says "You have a new private message waiting" as spam. We even have AOL users report the welcome email as spam. You know the one that comes 30 seconds after you create an account? AOL keeps a record of how many times their users report stuff like that and then start blocking email. It never even has a chance to get into the spam folder cause they make the decision to block it for their customers. So a few bad AOL apples can ruin it for everyone. The part that sucks is that it causes so much more work for us. A good AOL user forgets their password and requests a new one but they never get the new one automatically because the system blocks the email to them. Then they put in a support ticket, but we can't respond in the support ticket because that email will get blocked too, so we have to go use an alternative gmail account to send them their password. Its really quite insane.

Anyway, wanted to get that off my chest, lol.

I had Boy Crush on the brain, saw the name in the title of the thread and got myself all unncessesary and confused!!!

we are EXTREMELY happy with Boy Crush and its gorgeous models.

and if I ever remember where it is I will bump the right thread hehehe
