My prayers to little Ava, you and your family. Medical care has come do far with regards to preemies that she has a very good outlook. Be well and since this is your first time as an uncle (I am a great uncle) let me tell you that it is so much fun and very humbling to be an uncle. I will tell you that if your sister was ever evil to you growing up now is your chance to get back at her. Both of my sisters (much older than I) used to torment me and treat me like a favorite toy. Once thier kids got older I used to buy them toys that were very noisy. The sisters knew exactly what was going on.....

So cute. Be sure to give her lots of physical contact and see if the hospital has a massage therapist who works with newborns. My mom does that at our local hospital.

My step-mom is an NICU nurse and let me tell you, the NICU nurses do everything in their power to save every child that comes through their doors. I hope it's of some comfort to know that these nurses love children to pieces, and go beyond the call of duty to give them the best opportunity for a long life ahead. With this network of support, Ava will pull through

Thank you all, As of Today she is still in ICU. But things are looking better she has gained almost a pound. It is just so hard I want to hold her but at this time doctors will only let us toch her little hands. one good thing she starting to smile. An all i can do is cry tears of joy. Here the newest picture. Again thank you all.

That is such great news..I have thought about her all day. Stay strong Unc
it wont be long until your bouncing her on your knee.
