A question for JockBoy87

Cool your jets.

JockBoy87 will never be a candidate for political office. Just like me.. :-)

Haha. Except I'm not serious ..|

At least I'm aware of how sickeningly prejudiced the Republican Party is. I know where my loyalties lie. That is to you all. *kissy*

The evidence of the last year clearly shows what "kickbacks" is all about...

You couldn't possibly be referring to the Domestic Partnership bill the Democrats got us here in Maryland, or the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act in Congress, could you?

What crap!

How dare you even mention even the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act, a Republican initiative, as much as a Democratic one.....

Some people have to dream

Metta, come over here and help me sweep into the White House back door and I'll shovel you out kickbacks.

:) not interested in kickbacks....i just want a government that I can respect to at least try and make decisions based on them being the right thing to do. I think that Kucinich and Franken are trying but they need more help.

No.

It wasn't.

How dare you even try and defend the Republican record on gay rights. I mean really.

If you mention the Matthew Shepard Act without mentioning Gordon Smith, the only man who kept it alive, and a Republican, then you're the dishonest one. A cheat.

I mean really!

You know. You're just gonna keep losing.

You don't understand politics, I guess.

Hope you like it there on the losing side......

Ok, I'll go to bed.

But, reconnect with me Nov. 2010. After you Dem's go down in flames..

OK? :-)

Isn't the government by people like him right now anyway? We have a left wing supermajority. How's that working out?

As for gay rights bills going down in a Republican year, true, but let's not forget that the ultimate year of the progressive, 2008, is also the year of prop 8 and gay bans in Arkansas and Florida.

Where is this "supermajority"?

If there was a supermajority, the Democrats would be able to get some big things passed. With a few exceptions, most of what I see our goverment do right now is fight for power struggles, trying to manipulate the public to give them power rather than spend time on making decisions because they are the right thing to do. With the Republicans, that is all that I see them do. Their policy right now is easy, say no to everything no matter what it is in order to gain more power and make sure that the Democrats fail. They could care less about the people in this country.

Hmm, if all Democrats are so gay friendly, then why does Obama oppose gay marriage, why did Obama win California by over 60% but prop 8 passed (predominately with the help of black and latino democrats), why did Maine and Florida go for Obama but just repeal gay rights?

OK, correction, the democrats HAD a super majority in Senate (60, now 59) and a huge majority in house. this is biggest majority since the 70s for them. yet still, nothing good for gays.

hmm.

I concede the democrats are better for gays than republicans, but not by much.
