We still have a lot of organizations that we work with that do use FB for their communications...and I still have some people and pages that I connect with around areas of professsional and personal interest

I might post something every 3 or 4 months at most now...FB lost me as a 'content creator' or regular contributor to their feed years ago. Along win ith almost everyone else apparently as the site embraces AI pages that seem to be self-generating at this point.

Today, the AI people and animal images are getting more and more grotesque and almost pornographic with the deformities and supposed evidence of neglect, starvation and other diseases.

I still am not getting the flood of AI Islamic pages, or of Jesus or of pathetic people and animals fishing for Happy Birthday wishes that are packing the feed again today but I see I am not the only one baffled by this. I get it that someone is monetizing clicks and fishing for information...but it is increasingly like Xitter...a sinkhole for bots talking to one another,

Surprisingly, the algorithms are controlling the overtly political Kremlin troll pages before the US election as well the ongoing campaign in GB.

And of course, here in Canada, because of Zuck's war with us, we can see no actual news stories now.
 
Lol, the more you block stuff on Facebook, the faster it comes back. I think you are taking it way too seriously. Facebook is trash now; its nothing but scammers, suggested pages, groups, and ads that have nothing to do with what I am interested in.
 
Well something materially changed today.

90% of the flood of AI garbage has just disappeared.
 
Facebook is weird. I get floods of abandoned dogs in New Jersey . I don't know why. The it goes away for a month and then it comes back.
Sorry. I have two dogs and I'm not driving to NJ to get another. As benighted and backwards as yankees seem to think we are in Texas, we do have things like dog pounds.

I always get animals eating each other videos or pages; I never in a day in my life google those things or watch them, and i would get tons and tons of videos and reels showing those types of things. We were complaining about the geese at work, and I said we should normalize eating them,, and bam Facebook started showing me bird videos and birds being eaten by other birds. I hide the pages and videos and then a few months later they creep back up.

The stupid suggested pages made Facebook much worse, I would rather deal with the foreign scammers.

In my "Sponsored" feed today. Facebook is really getting absurd. How many ways can we grift the MAGATs?

So there has been an almost complete drop-off in the number of vile AI pages showing deformed children, animals and adults.

As well as a 90% decline in the AI Jesus and Islam pages.

But tellingly, META indicates that not one of the bloody, violent and abusive pics contravenes its policy.

But I'll bet that if one pubic hair in an AI homo pic were to show and it got shared, there would be a 30 day ban.

It is one of the reasons that I am almost certain that META actually pays third worlders to produce all the garbage AI pages...often stealing other defunct page names to feed them into the crawl.
 
I'm getting full-on racist ads in my feed this morning. I reported. I bet they tell me racism doesn't violate advertising standards.
 
I have only ben getting a few Jesus AI posts, but over the last few days still getting American Flag AI nonsense with the caption "Someone said June is Pride Month, so I am flying this flag".

I am getting ready for the flood of patriotic AI around the fourth of July.

But at least the AI damaged bodies porn seems to have come to a stop in my feed.
 
I noticed a few years back I never get suggested left of center pages. No matter how many I block or how many pages I like that are left of center I only get suggested pages I have nothing in common with.
 
It is that weird disconnect that makes me suspect that the META algorithms really are just randomized nonsense.

Today, I am also getting a whole slew of pro-Israel sports and other general pages and I have zero connection through other pages...
 
So strange I haven't been getting such rubbish on my FB. I do get some spam there, but it tends not to be political stuff.

But then I don't use it much, either.

Even the friend or group suggestions that I occasionally get, are routine and neutral.

Every once and a while I get ads for Muslim groups. The only thing I can think of why is I have my dad and aunt friended even though they don't talk to me.


I agree with Rareboy, the algorithms are really off.
 
Who the fleck still uses Facebook?

The FB algorithm doesn't give you what you like, it gives you what you hate, because that is more likely to keep you scrolling, replying, scrolling.

Get off FB like everybody else.

And more hilarious because today, I have blocked over 40 AI Jesus (JESSUS) pages, including one I should have copied... because it was the actually gayest Jezuz with the reddest, fullest, come fuck me lips, flowing hair and a tiara of paste stones I have ever seen.
 
I wasn’t getting anything except ugly AI guys, but the last 2 days I’ve been getting crying dogs who’s birthday is today but are getting no love.

I’m blaming this thread and JUB. I have to check my tracking with Facebook and see if I’m allowing it. 😂
