Well, it has finally happened! My new movie, A SIREN IN THE DARK, is out and is a Top 10 bestseller! The film is an erotic psychological thriller that I produced and starred in. I play the role of Kevin McKendrick. The film also features porn star Orion Cross, cameo's by The Fisher Twins and others!
SYNOPSIS
Cameron, a Police Officer with psychic abilities, is called upon to interview an accused teen (David Beutler) in hopes of finding the whereabouts of the teen's missing gay lover, Kevin McKendrick (James Townsend). His investigation immediately spirals into sordid tales of drug abuse, sexual obsessions, and a mysterious man living on a deserted mountain road.
This handsome but very deadly "Siren" is a seeker of the lost and lonely, and revels in playing on their addictions. Has the lost lover met his end? Is the accused teen himself even among the living? As the tale unfolds, will Cameron find himself safe from the lure of the deadly and mysterious "Siren in the Dark?"

Dude, wake up on the wrong side of the bed. I myself know the teaser isn't that great. But it was a first-cut. I have been unable to get my hands on the new one yet. I'm just happy to say we broke into the Top 10 bestselling and can say that the majority of reviews have been very favorable. Plus, it does feature several porn stars that have been of interest on these boards, and we have supported JUB by placing them on our websites, newsletters, etc. So, that has all been taken care of! The trailer doesn't really tell us anything about the movie. It should tease the viewer into wanting to go and see it. I'm assuming it's a porn film, which really means the storyline is pretty much redundant anyway. But yeah, that trailer doesn't make me want to part with any cash. I'd re-edit it if I were you. Find the central theme, of the film, a pivotal moment, a cliff hanger something that in 45 seconds is going to make the viewer want to invest their time in watching it.
Congrat's on the accomplishment of producing and staring in it Dylan. That is a great achievement. And what does it matter what we say, it's a Top 10 movie on the site selling it. That's fantastic.
Hey hey! Thanks for the input. I totally agree with you about the teaser. I am not sure what purpose the distributor had in mind with it. I was pretty disappointed upon seeing what they had put together for the first-cut of it. I am pretty confident they have developed a full legnth trailer, so I am working on getting my hands on that.
The film is not a porn. It is an erotic psychological thriller. The sec scenes do push the boundaries, but there is a solid story behind it all, that is pretty complicated to even begin to explain lol

just saw an early screener of Siren in the Dark. There's not much more that I can add that hasn't already been said, but this is the second movie I've seen from some of the same people that produced Sideline Secrets. I haven't seen Sideline Secrets II, but like the first one, Siren in the Dark is a low budget production. What's different, however, is the production quality. Siren in the Dark is considerably better, and definitely worth seeing if you enjoy these types of films.

This film may have a god-awful "porn" cover. But, the film itself is quite well done. Verging on being a horror film, more psychological than slasher, this psychological thriller possesses a lot to be seen. It is not the easiest plot to explain, but you will surely be entertained from start to finish as you try to figure out the puzzle. Some more character development would have been nice. I found myself not caring too deeply about most of the characters really, however the acting itself ranged from okay to good, nothing award winning. This is smart popcorn cinema at its best. You may find yourself scratching your head for more answers by the end of the film!

This movie is a lot of fun! It is dark as hell but in a good way. I appreciate that is isn't scared to be erotic, but still present a story that leaves you thinking. Not much is given away in terms of all the answers, but such task really adds to the storytelling. For once, a sexy thriller that doesn't spoon feed you everything you need to know. Be curious to see if a sequel ever comes about for this one. There is so much that could be done with it!!! Great low budget film. One of the best in it's genre.

I recently caught a screener of the film and am blown away! For such a low budget film, this story delivers. It is smart, sexy and at times very creepy! It reminded me of the gay-thriller URBANIA in a number of ways-- mainly in its overall mystery and unwillingness to spoonfeed you all the answers to what has happened... And, as mentioned in the synopsis, there are some clear reflections of BLUE VELVET and THE SIXTH SENSE.
This film can easily be called psychological-thriller/horror.
Brilliant storytelling that involves some very intense and dark subject matter... everything from drug and alcohol addiction, rape, incest, murder, and some "tastey treats" no pun intended are all readily available for your viewing pleasure!
Orion Cross and James Townsend shine. Orion is downright sexy and mysterious, with a stomach-churning secret of his own! James Townsend is once again adorable as the innocent follower lured into a deadly game of addictions.
If you want a smart and refreshing approach to gay cinema, check this out.
You may be scratching your head throughout the film, as you try to piece together the mystery. But, that is half the fun and it is nice to see a film step out and attempt to deliver such an intricate tale!

The best I can do has already been done by someone else and that is to say that is gay cinema in which “’The Sixth Sense” meets “Blue Velvet”.

The accused is the “Siren”. He is handsome to look at and deadly to deal with. He preys on the lonely and the lost and plays on the addictions of the people that he comes into contact with.
The men are good looking and there is a good deal of male frontal nudity and sex scenes but I found it extremely hard to follow the plot. However, the plot was not really necessary to enjoy what you see on the screen. This is a dark movie that has emphasis on the use of drugs and casual sex.
In watching, it is up to us to decide if the missing lover is alive and whether or not the “Siren’ is among the living himself. I don’t want to rate this film because I enjoyed it even though I am baffled by it but I do recommend it for a different kind of viewing experience.

You may not like it or you may like it. But this is one guy that has tried very hard to make it in life as a film producer. He's busted his ass to get funding and to try to make a good and fine film.
You may like it or not like it... just buy it.. check it out. He's been willing to be online here... so let him know what he may have done right or wrong.

we have a sequel/prequel being written right now... it will cover how the Sirens came about in the 1800s and also show what happens in the current day as their murderous consumption continues
