A telemarketer for Microsoft just called me an idiot

^ Auto dialer will note if there are answers as well. So I just look at the caller ID and NEVER answer these unknown/blocked or names/numbers/callers I don't recognize. It will call for days at different times by default to try and catch you at home but if there is no answer, eventually the number is noted as such or pushed to the back of the list.

Your phone will ring a maximum of 10 times before the phone company disconnects the call, thankfully, or these auto dialers would let it ring all night. These people also rarely call after 8:30 pm or before 8 am because that's a law.

When they've called me I flat out tell them I know it's a scam and that they're liars and should be ashamed of themselves.

Whenever I hear the little pause, I don't say anything. I just wait, then listen to them say hello four or five times. Then they get annoyed and hang up. It's entertaining to reverse the situation on them.

Sometimes I like to screw with them.... act all interested and ask them so many questions they become disinterested and want to hang up on me. It works great when I get political phone calls from the republican party.

I like to do a little bit of all of the above. I'll pretend to be interested, ask a lot of questions, then pause for a long time while they repeat "hello", and just when they're about to give up, I'll call them out as being lame and fake people. Hey, if they are going to waste my time, I will be wasting theirs...
