wall for over a week now.
It sounds like a dripping water or a ticking clock (solid sound). 2 solid tock tock sound per second, 24 hour per day for over a week now.

It doesn't scare or bother me but i can't sleep in that bed room because of the sound.

Who is the best person to inspect the sound inside a wall in the house?
I mean building engineer or something like that ?

*want to post in a Tech Talk forum but it isn't a tech talk. :)

If it's water dripping on wood instead of in a puddle, it can sound 'solid'. If you live in an apartment, talk to your landlord or superintendent as soon as you can. If it's a leak, it can cause serious damage.

landlord or superintendent is not the right person coz i'm paying for the house.

The strange thing is I can't see anyway water coming out from anywhere.

maybe a plumber or a roofing people ?

Okay, so no landlord. It could cost you a fortune to hire a plumber or a carpenter or roofer, especially if they can't fix the problem. Better to try to find a general contractor (handyman) who can do a lot of different little jobs. They're better equipped to handle any fix-it which comes up.

Otherwise, you might try finding out what the problem is yourself but you would have to cut a hole in your drywall near the sound to find out. If you can't patch it yourself, you'd still have to hire someone to fix it for you.

Something tells me Transpogue is able to solve your problem.

Maybe you should have Captain Hook find the clock and destroy it...

Go into your attic and see if there is something amiss - also, look at the wall on the other side of your bedroom and see if there is anything wet there. Beyond that - I would call a plumber in to see if they can find anything. Just make sure that you ask around for the name of a good plumber to help make sure you get a reasonable rate.

As it is you Telstra I am willing to bet it is in your head. Don't worry, your house isn't haunted.

don't be silly. The sound come from one spot for over a week.
I know the house isn't haunted.

If you have hot water heat (especially if it is an older house), it could just be air and water going through the system. You could have a man come out and drain your pipes.

Last time I heard a relentless ticking coming from my kitchen after 3 days I found a clock in the cupboard. For the life of me I don't know where it came from.
