A waist is a terrible thing to waste

Thanks for the good wishes.

I am now trying to help others with their nutrition with positive coaching on a couple of sites where people are trying to lose real weight.

I am never going to be restored to the tight lean body of my twenties and early thirties....but I am happy to have undone decades of sliding along gradually adding the weight that finally tipped me into the diabetic range.

As I've mentioned before, I have seen in my own family the devastation that diabetes can wreak in your life....so just nope.

And once again, a tip of the hat to Peeonme who recommended Loseit.com

Oh shit....

You can't lose it with exercise and keep it off easily...because all of us are prone to less activity rather than more.

You can lose it permanently if you maintain the calorie intake that your metabolism needs in order to function but not store fat.

I am eating 800 calories a day. And I am never hungry. Even though my glucose levels are now in the normal range.

I'm not sure that I am buying what that article is selling. I know people, like my sister, who lost the excess weight and 35 years later never put it back on. She is rigid and rigorous with her nutrition. Every day. So I guess we'll see.
