I have a theory about 'periods' (a woman's menstural cycle)

I think guys learned about periods from the movie 'Carrie'. Carrie has her first period while in the school shower. She thinks she's dying because her mom (Piper Laurie) never told her about it.

Yes, Ive seen the original movie. I dont remember the menstration scene in the gym.

With slow music, it shows Carrie in the shower and she notices blood on her leg. She thinks she's dying. The girls tease her, "Carrie's got her period" and they throw tampons at her.

Rita Desjardin (I dont remember her that being her name) takes Carrie to the principal office where they give her the rest of the day off. Its Carrie!!!

I only saw Carrie the first time last year. So finally I learned about that mysterious period thing women have!

Actually, I probably learned in 9th grade sex ed. It seems likely menstruation would have come up in sex ed, since they did mention male nocturnal emissions. (I remember that for sure, because some girls who were royal pains in the ass sat giggling about me: "He has nocturnal emissions!!!!!!")

Knowing about menstruation--along with all the tiresome details of the female reproductive system--has been totally irrelevant knowledge for me. An advantage of being gay: I only have to know about the anatomy and physiology of the male sex organs.
