Direct booking means you can hire a model directly for an assignment without auditioning or whatever. For obvious reasons that’s increasingly popular and needed especially in somewhere like Dubai where they may have models for Europe and East Asia. I know I’ve heard of circumstances where models are discreetly connected and maybe encouraged to sleep with high profile designers or something but their agency. But I imagine being represented merely helps their legitimacy and standing and command for payment; more than the agency organizing or orchestrating the arrangements themselves as a front... let’s not forget fashion is a multi billion dollar industry lol. For example, I know two male fashion models in Dubai who are currently wiling to whore themselves for no less than $2k USD. But that was communicated via their DMs not through an agency and both claimed not to have a pimp-agent and to be based in Dubai for real fashion assignments (which their instastories prove and show to be true). But being represented and real legit fashion models is how they’re able to claim or command such exorbitant fees for getting fucked. Other hot IG guys I know there are a mere $500/hour. But having the aura of a real model gives some the ability to make great fantasy and profit and this is how I think modeling agencies assist high end prostitution more than direct connection.Dima Zinchenko.
