Lugus, you're not into diva worship, are you?

Personally, I don't get that type of thing. However, it's fine if you are. I haven't actually seen "Dream Girls". Like Ralph, it doesn't appear to be my cup of tea, coffee, etc. But do you think Hudson was really stretched in that role to deserve an Oscar? Grammy maybe, but Oscar? It doesn't appear that it takes all that much to win an Oscar these days. It has definitely lost its luster. I can't believe how long Scorsese had to wait to win one.

It's all largely political IMO.
Of course I´m not a diva worshiper, haven´t even seen that movie and don´t intend to. I do not like musicals, there kinda gay if you ask me. I rather prefer historical dramas (I´m a history geek

) or some well acted movie. Btw, Norbit I think is crap, but

don´t tell Ralph he´s a fan.
And yes, that Oscar was totally wasted, again

don´t tell rigr (he´s a Jennifer what´s her name fan

). I mean, c´mon how she won over Cate Blanchett (oops, I sense some diva worshipping here

) or that japanese girl. But whatever...
I do like old Hollywood movies

, again only the ones where you can enjoy good acting. Oh, and European movies, they seem to approach all themes with a more open mind than the Americans, specially Spanish cinema, it´s great (it´s TV however is another thing

). I actually really enjoyed the Dutch film (I dedicate this to Ralphie) Zus & Zo, it was a very well acted and funny comedy

, or one of my favorites Amelie (I know

).
