If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere. (An upper-middle class community).

The fear and loathing of the radical religious right seems boundless.*
“The censorship at Avoca points out the flaws of these filtering systems,” said John Knight of the Illinois ACLU in a press release.
Maybe so, but the censorship at Avoca points out how fucked our society is.
Hatred is against God's will - all you Bible-wankers.

*I was born this way... what's your excuse?

This happens in my local district too. Very similar in make-up to the district in this story.

Sue the bastards! Cost them millions in fines and legal fees. Luddites only know to fear the stick. [Text: Removed by Moderator]

"Luddite" - one of my favorite words - learned it from my big bro. :=D:
I used to have an acquaintance. He was an arrogant, opinionated SOB. (I really know how to pick 'em!) He declared to me that he would never, never have a computer. I asked him if he drove a car. He said "yes". I then broke the news: "you have a computer." :p The shocking thing is that he doesn't work for a school board!

Don't care. Jamie Nabozny is a very good friend of mine, and only a $1+ million dollar lawsuit he won made school districts take bullying seriously. Google him if you don't already know the case.

I remember the case. I also remember being overjoyed that he won his case. I hope he is doing well in spite of all the shit he had to endure! ..|

Yup, you understand exactly what I said. Luddites like to rave about "the good ole days". I'm sure the gay hankie code of the 70s was too much progress for some, LOL!
