Ever since I heard that Viagra, Cialis, Levitra were being used as recreational drugs, I've been curious to try one of them. Cialis, it seems, has even used this as a spin in their marketing campaign. Because I don't have ED, do I still go through a doctor to acquire a prescription?

Yes you must get it from a doctor.

I'm not doctor, but I think this crap can really mess you up. I've heard horror stories, as I'm sure we all have.

What's your motivation to try it? What are you hoping to achieve?

And is an extra hour of sex worth the potential damning side-effects?

You could always use a cock ring.

I new of someone (he told me) who was in his early 20s and decided to try Viagra. he ended up in the hospital, because it would not go down after 4 hrs!

It is a possible side effect of those pills, so think about it!

You shouldn't use these without ED. You could end up as stated... in the hospital for priapism. And the treatment isn't fun, nor are the complications from it if you don't get it treated. Do you really want to walk into an ER and when the doc asks what's wrong say "I can't get it down." I doubt it. Just enjoy it while you can.

... an other aspect to consider is that more isn't better. The orgasm you get when you're on viagra (not needing it) won't feel as good as the one you normally have...

I don't know if this is a factor, but I would be afraid of damaging my own body's chemical response to stimulation due to the artificial... what if you can't get it up naturally anymore?

viagra, cialis, etc petty much work the same as vasoconstrictors....to improve blood pressure, which is what they were originally designed for. later, during medical trials, the men mentioned this odd little side effect, so that is how viagra was marketed. you need to understand that you just dont pop the pill and it targets your dick. it also changes blood pressues in your body for a short time, and like all drugs, taking them when you dont need them is a bad idea.

another thing to consider..since you dont need them at your age and a doctor is probably not going to write you a prescription, you might try to get them from a less reputable source, like online or something. many online pharmacies have been caught selling fakes, or sugar pills. in a worse case, the cialis (yellow pill) was being sold from china that was mearly made of drywall base, and lead based yellow highway paint.

so ask yourself do you really need it? and is it work any unknown adverse health risks to your body?

Aww, but the drunk straight passed out frat boy given viagra and jerked off fantasys are hot. Dont destroy them for me :(

You could go out and bribe an old man to go to a pharmacy to get you some lol!
Like many people have already said on this forum, you dont need viagra at your age, being natural is hotter than taking a little blue pill before you have sex.

You don't need a doctor to perscribe it, its on trial as an officially licenced over the counter drug in the UK for sale at select Boots stores. So if you're in the good old UK and want to give it a try get to one of the trial stores.

As for the side efects, I wouldnt get all hung up on them. I know loads of people who as a joke for friends birthdays have spiked their drinks with it. And I've never seen it cause more than an embarasing situation for the poor guy whos b'day it was.

Can someone post scientific research that shows the physical constriction of blood flow from your penis is safer than a perscribed drug please? (as personally this sounds worse than taking a drug to induce the effect if you ask me!)

Interesting opinions on ED meds.

I guess all meds have side effects, but by & large many [not all]of us seem to survive these adverse affects. Interesting too that I hear some guys willing to take Poppers over ED meds, yet Poppers lower BP also & have been proven to land some in the hospital. & yes, I know Poppers & EDs are 2 different drugs, but both reduce BP. But I digress from topic.

Here's my personal experience on Viagra use:
Taken low dose [25mg]:

The good: Erection was fuller, firmer & lasted much longer.

The bad: Facial flushing. Weird, but this was enough for me to decide to avoid Viagra for now. [I looked like I was sunburned on cheek bones & orbits, lol]

Like others have said, just take care of your health & leave EDs to when you get older & have certain physical problems that interfere with achieving & maintaining an erection.

Aww, but the drunk straight passed out frat boy given viagra and jerked off fantasys are hot. Dont destroy them for me :(

its alright, you dont need viagra for those stories, drunk frat guys pass out and do all sorts of strange things anyway :p

Somehow these drugs have gotten the reputation as an aphrodiac- something that makes you get hard and go for hours.

The drug actually just prevents your erection from going away- you have to get the erection on your own and the drug just interferes with your body's attempts to make it go down.

We are starting to see more people show up in the emergency room with complications from Viagra use. This can be anything from migraines, abnormally low blood pressure to permanent blindness.

A friend of mine is a few years older than me and thought he could use a little help with Viagra. After taking the pill he noticed he was harder than he was in years and the excitement came on faster. I didn't think I was any less hard than years ago nor any less horny. I tried the pill and proved myself right. My point is that from first hand knowledge, the pill will not make you better than 100% in performance if you're already at top performance. My friend knew he was less than what he used to be and did find that Viagra helped him.

The Viagra my friend obtained was from his physician. He gave me one to try out. I would be leary of internet sources or things passed thru too many hands on the streets.

Like all medications you have to read the information because there can be side effects. These side effects are different for different people.
However I think there is a huge misconception here.
These drugs don't cause a erection without one being sexually stimulated, they don't.
I've tried all 3. Not all 3 are equal but very close. Sex is great and after you get off the erection goes down, if you aren't having a reaction.
I think the ads put a lot of effort into making sure if you get a hard on for 4 hrs you have a problem.
That Dr. Oz was talking about this marketing point on Oprah. By stressing a 4 hr hard on is like a added boast for many guys who think this sounds great. He has a point.
Of course Dr. Oz is against these pills. Pills aren't the answer I agree but I am neutral saying comments on things I haven't tried or know first hand of. Many of you are not, and have not a idea maybe perhaps you area against all medications including asprin? Maybe with just cause.
But OP states he wants it for partying...... if partying means for use not as intended then that ain't so cool.
And mention one is like a forbidden around anyone that considers themselves young. 60 yr old don't want to admit trying these a lot of times.
Some anti-depressants, sleeping pills and other medications will. For instance deseryl or trazadone will giver some the side effect of a erection without being sexually aroused.
I tried that for a sleeping pill and it happened to me. The erection wouldn't go down and I couldn't get off, and it lasted many hours that is what causes the problems, It wasn't fun and I described what happened to a buddy who lived with me the next day. I had a allergic reaction to the medication and will never take it again. Wellbutrin can do this too regarding getting a unplanned hard on.
So he pops a couple maybe more of them with his 12 pack of beer that night, I had no idea he would do such a stupid thing. Trazadone/deseryl is a depressant on top of all the beer. He is lucky he only felt like shit for a few days and he never got a hard on.
I have another good friend who was partying and took 2 - 100mg Viagra with xanxa and poppers. maybe other drugs like X or special K then put on a cock ring. Yeah he ended up in the emergency room with a erection lasting more than 4 hours.
However look at the abuse he took 100 mg more than the daily limit of the drug if prescribed, topped if off with illegal's and then put on a cock ring once hard. Total fool.
A lot of times less is more so you go with a 25 mg pill first. Just because you can take a 100 mg pill doesn't mean it will work better.
One time a Doctor at a bar gave me half a pill and told me to take it. Not smart, but I am not always drunk and smart. I did and figured it was Viagra. This Doctor wasn't my type sexually at all. I was drinking and I never got any erection. The next day or so the Doctor told me how sorry he was and a shamed but it was only half of 25 mg pill. It didn't do any thing anyway, I wasn't turned on by him at all.
I've partied with some of the generics that are available but illegal in the USA and they do work from some sources. A $3.25- 100 mg Viagra that works as good as a $17.00 USA -100 mg. Viagra.
These drugs are expensive and have gone up.
In the USA Viagra is the cheapest. These are not cheap pills.
I don't recommend any illegal purchase of generic drugs not approved by the FDA because it would be foolish to think they are safe or legit. Drugs aren't safe and should be administered by a Doctor.
But you guys are wrong thinking that even a 25 yr old couldn't have a awesome time with a Doctor prescribed one if medical conditions warrant it.
You are off the wall if you think just taking one will get you a erection, sure its easy to get one with any arousal.
I know plenty of young guys who have taken some that agree nothing ever happened, even a lot of medical people will tell you they don't always work.
Drinking, high fat large meals, they all block this stuff from working.
No doubt I have used these and other drugs as the OP mentions and it isn't smart. Not a good idea!
They are decent & fun when used correctly, under a Doctors advice.
