Has anyone seen it?

I thought it was a good movie, I LOVED most of the songs, especially "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" (the main one prudence sang), BUT where did Prudence go? She was there one minute, gone the next.... And also, why was she a lesbian? What was the purpose?

I saw it when it first came out, and I enjoyed it alot.

I don't usually like other people singing the Beatles hits, but these guys did a great job.

I liked the guy who looked like Paul McCartney.

Well, she's pretty much the embodiment of the song Dear Prudence in the way that she at first is usually on the sidelines and is trying to accept herself and find love.

As to why is she a lesbian--why not? Her journey in the movie would have been similar to what many gay people at that time experienced. And she probably leaves because even though she finds good friends who accept her, she still needs to find her niche where she fits. That clip shows that at the beginning of the movie, even though she's right in the action, she's not really a part of it. She has to find her own place.

HAHA I just bought it yesterday and saw it today. It was pretty amazing, I'm not really like a Beatles fan because frankly.. I'm young and my parents didn't listen to them... so it's kinda a different experience, of course I know the big songs.. but overall I thought it was pretty amazing, and well done.


AND I have a crush on Evan Rachel Wood, she's great.. especially in Running With Scissors.

I listened to some of the commentary and the director had heard a cover of a female singing "I wanna hold your hand" to another chick and the director basically wanted the movies version to be like that. Anyways I agree, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was my favorite song from the movie.
