Gay Porn Charges levied Against 7 Paratroopers

(AXcess News) Houston, TX - The US Army has charged 7 paratroopers for their role in a gay porn video. The paratroopers with the 82nd Airborne Division were charged with engaging in sex acts in a video displayed on a gay porn Web site.

The Army says the paratroopers gay porn videos were shown online. Three of the Ft. Bragg soldiers face courts-martial for engaging in sex acts.

According to a statement released by the Army Friday, the three soldiers are also facing charges for pandering and engaging in sex acts for money.

The three soldiers who face courts-martial are: Spc. Richard T. Ashley, Pfc. Wesley K. Mitten and Pvt. Kagen B. Mullen.

The other four soldiers received nonjudicial punishments. their punishments included reduction to the rank of private, 45 days of restriction to the unit area, 45 days of extra duty and forfeiture of a month's pay.

All seven paratroopers will most likely be discharged from the military, the Army said.

The 82nd Airborne Division had been investigating charges that military personnel were appearing on a gay porn Web site, though the military would not reveal the name of the Web site.

The gay porn Web site apparently carried a military theme, but did not make any direct reference to the 82 Airborne Division or Ft. Bragg, military spokespersons said.

"As far as we're concerned, it's isolated to the unit, and our investigation determined that these seven individuals were the only ones" involved, said 82nd Airborne spokesman Maj. Thomas Earnhardt.

All seven paratroopers were members of the 2nd Battalion of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
