That said, I am flabbergasted at how much attention this is getting when there are humongously bigger fish to fry on the civil liberties front. Having Axl and his obnoxious tattoos on a website only some self-selected gays will visit is supremely (no pun intended) insignificant compared to the open hate-mongering that currently occurs in the US, with some very vocal and powerful -- and potentially powerful -- people continuously and openly fanning the flames. Let's focus our efforts where they're really needed instead of intensely obsessing over what a little, way-past-its-prime porn site chooses to do. Even if Dink was convinced to banish Axl -- which isn't likely -- that would be an insignificant victory in the overall mission of fighting hate.

I've bought a lot of them in the past. I have nine of them in my collection--on DVD, bought from brick-and-mortar stores and shipped from AD from online purchases. The last were a little disappointing because they didn't come in DVD boxes, just in little envelopes...but I overlooked that because the content was so hot.

I used to be a BIG fan. My favorite guy was Cole, whose smile could melt lead.

After Cole left, the site started to suck imo. It is beyond bland to me. He wsa the only saving grace. To be honest, I hadn't even thought about the site in years until this little fiasco launched.

I agree with you and have said as much to many gay people. However, many in our community view this as a major media tool and having this type of model and company ,like the bareback issue, sets a bad example in our community and needs to be pointed out.

Do i need to be a member to be offended by this? Do i need to be Asian to be offended by a racist joke aimed at them? I had explained in the Controversy thread why i stopped buying anything from Active Duty, I have to keep repeating that. But, this issue really took the cake and thought it was really to important to just let it go.

Agreed on all counts. I recall back when I used to head over to AD on Sunday nights to learn about their exciting new DVD (especially the ones with Cole, Kody or Shane. I ordered many of them. But those days are l-o-n-g gone.

I strongly disagree. If Dink is covering or removing the 14 and 88, that's what many of us were asking for. They're the smallest, so the easiest to get rid of, as a gesture toward getting rid of all of them. Axl couldn't have ALL his racist tatts removed without having hideous scars, so some of us called for the number codes to be removed to show that he didn't stand behind the racist sentiments behind them.

When people do something to fix something wrong, it's important that they get credit for it. Dink has now made it clear where he stands, but if he got rid of those numbers, he should get credit for that part.
