If we look hard enough, we would probably find a Harvard graduate to star in a gay porn.

The point is, not all people who do porn are on the down and out. Sure, there are plenty of them who are hustlers and criminals, but for every one of those there is another college kid who need to pay the bills. Even Dink has pointed out several of his boys who are now discharged and in school. And unless you count being in the military as a unsavory job, i dont think many of Dink's "boys" are poor characters.

Criostoir's and Quastar's opinions, i think are right on the point. The reactions to this kid is overblown by a thousand times or so. Liev' (SC) has the hammer and sickle tat, and i think he just use it to denote russian pride, so must we label him a communist and go Joe McCarthy on his ass (ew, visual of gross roy cohn, ew)? Plus when i lived in London, i used to go to a gay skinhead bar right there in the middle of the city. fred perry, bleached jeans, bracers and doc martens, the whole nine yards and then some. I am not white (and pretty obvious that i am not) but i got nothing but smiles when i walk in the door.

Maybe it is just my experience of interacting with someone who "looks" racist but turn out to be sweet as pie, i wont rush to judgment based on a tattoo.

The tattoo is not floating in the air, dear. It is attached to his chest. We are debating what that tatto means to him, what is your response to the tatto, what kind of meaning you get from the tattoo and finally what that tattoo says about the model.

So to say you ae re simply debating the tattoo but not the person is impossible. You are inferring meaning based on who the kid is. If the tatts is on the body of a non white model it would have had a different meaning.

In effect, we are discussing what we think of the person based on what his appearance is. None of us except Dink has actually met Axl, so all we can know about him is what you see of him, and teh reaction you get from seeing his pictures and Dink's responses.

And the models i listed was in response to Lost Lover's contention that there are no intelligent, professional person in porn.

No, you and a few come-lately posters want to debate the model. The discussion for most posters who have stayed around is the offensive meaning of the tattoos. They are indeed floating in the air, as they have the same meaning together on a model as if they were written on the wall in the background. They are offensive symbols to many people. They are in videos a pornographer is choosing to keep up.

You tie it to the model to misdirect the topic so you can defend the pornographer's choice to keep the videos up. He seems so much more defendable if he's supporting a sweet naive boy than if he's capitalizing on racist symbols.

Hilarious that in a discussion about race/racism, our happy pornographer chooses to post a joke involving men who are perceived to be black.

Axl is hot. His tattoos represent a racist group, regardless of whether or not he knew it. The pornographer now knows they are racist symbols, but chooses to continue to showcase them, and he is basically laughing at everyone in this discussion.

No one's mind will ever be changed in this discussion, and now that it's been conveniently split off from the thread in which new posters might come to learn about AD, this will have little impact.

It's nice of you to consider your family and all their "connections" and choose not to do porn. It sounds like your family is in a financial position that you would never have to consider doing porn. That's also very nice. You're fortunate.

I'm sure that you are the only person on this thread who cares that your mother was appointed to a high position or that your brother is marrying into politics. But, you felt it necessary to point it out so you could preach from the self-conceived pedestal that you placed yourself upon by mentioning.

For someone who is "close" to Axl's age you've sure spent a lot of your youth (the last six years to be exact) on a porn thread preaching the gospel in your 8,000 posts. I'd say at the least that makes you persistent. Your family's position in this world makes you no better or smarter than anyone else on this thread.

Funny, my mom grew up in a poor town in east Texas. Being poor (until recently I guess) didn't mean having no morals, aspirations, and expectations.

You're right. I am no better or smarter than anyone here or doing porn, which is why I am critical of someone that gets questionable tattoos and then plays it off.

Lastly, you acknowledge that people's financial position may make them interested and willing to do porn. Don't you think it is wrong to then film these people of more modest means and to make a living off of them, especially if they didn't have the kind of opportunity and upbringing others their age had?

The defense of the symbols by those not offended has been to defend the model as innocent. I don't believe anyone who has taken offense believes the model didn't intend the message they convey. No one in this discussion is really naive about what's going on here.

Dink, you absolutely do not get it. I said nothing about condemning AXL nor about whether your answers are believable. Do you have no awareness that the tats that appear on your site cause anger in blacks and that you have the opportunity to say that that bothers you and saddens you? Wow just shows you how f*gs will defend anything for an attractive guy. I might be late but I just read the whole thread and can't laugh enough at the "explanations" Axl gave for those hideous tattoos. I can actually relate to that .. I was born in a small town in Alberta (Yes we have White Supremacists in Canada) where I have met allot of white supremacists, my dad and mum was kinda racist too but that's all they knew at that time and that's what I had been taught my whole childhood but I grew up, went to college in Toronto and my views changed, I evolved, became more open minded - as kids we don't get to choose how to act because we pretty much mimic what our family and friends do But we eventually grow up and get to choose our own path and come to realize what's wrong and right in life.

I would've respected Axel more if he just said it was a dark time in the past and he got over it and he's a different man now. I would commend him for being truthful instead of spewing that load of crap thinking we're stupid or something - like who the hell has three tattoos that revolve around the same shit and can make excuses like it was for his girl friend and what not! Anyways I was a paying member for AD for a long time but let me just say I won't be going back anytime soon.
