I called it from the start.

This guy is playing everyone. He wants to come out of the gate doing crazy shit to get everyone's attention, then just before he wears out his welcome he'll reign it all in to legitimize himself. Then when his album sales begin to sag, he'll do more crazy shit for attention. It's all a game. He plays the media and the public like a fiddle.

Just like every other brilliant musical artist who's figured out how to attain longevity in their career.

The likes of Simon Cowell, Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and several other professionals in the industry have said that Adam is talented and charismatic and has the POTENTIAL to be very successful. He has huge potential. In fact, he's raising the possibility that America is ready for mainstream-but-very-queer young pop star.

To all those who believe that he is not the role model that they expect him to be, please feel free to step away from the computer, go into the real world and become the shining star and the beacon of gayness for all of us. Then come back and tell me if everyone (queer or straight) agreed with every single thing you did or every move you made.

After the FCC fined CBS $550,000 for Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction," apparently ABC is wary of letting Lambert perform live, because they can't trust what he might do. It was one thing for him to kiss that band member, but another to push his face into his crotch. I think if he had stopped at the kiss, there wouldn't be so much uproar about it.

The Janet Jackson incident is said to have been an accident (which I still doubt it was). If the FCC would impose a $550,000 fine for an accident, one has to wonder how huge a fine they would impose on a network if they aired a "deliberate" incident.

He's also on Barbara Walter's show of the Most Fascinating People of 2009. Pre-taped...so they've already edited out him grinding Bab's face into his crotch...

Personally I can't stand Lambert...so no problem with me that he's cut. I just wish his 15 minutes were over already...

anyway...I think it's more that ABC doesn't like his on stage actions...not anything to do with his being gay. ABC has gay characters on few of their shows besides the soaps... Ugly Betty, Brother's & Sisters, Modern Family and Grey's Anatomy off the top of my head...probably more....so it's not like one can really claim they are homophobic.

See, i don't believe that's true. No one is asking him to play the role of the straight laced marionette, but if you play the super over-sexual role, you're gonna get backlash - especially from something as "wholesome" as a Disney-owned corporation. See, I don't believe that either. It was almost 11pm. Parents who allow their kids to be watching tv on a Sunday night at that hour are not all that great at parenting, and those of legal age to stay up were well aware that the show has a sleaze edge. Gaga and Jackson proved that earlier in the show.

There is a huge double standard when it comes to gays, and we lie down like beaten snooks and allow it and even praise this kind of censorship. You should be screaming your heads off at ABC for fundamental reasons. Gay discrimination. There was nothing in Adam's performance as remotely sexual as some of the shit you see on a 100 other programs.

Am I suppose to get mad because I'm gay and they're discriminating against him? Because I don't blame them in the least. If you have a performer who's behavior is entirely erratic and acts with the CLEAR motivation of pissing people off any logic individual would not want him/her on their program.

Quite frankly I find that AMA garbage incredibly offensive. What was it suppose to be a protest? Was it suppose to be art? Because I got new for you, Adam darling, you're not in the Louvre and you're not marching on the national mall. You're on a C-string awards show attempting to drum up outrage on BOTH sides of the aisle to advance your career and grasp desperately at publicity. Good luck with that. Just don't expect me to respect you or give two shits if completely logical and forseeable outcomes wind up in a loss of revenue for you.

In this economic climate a new artist is about to debut with over 600,000 in the first week. Not Adam Lambert, no. Its Susan Boyle. If she can do it anyone can if they have enough fans.

How can you even compare Adam Lambert, the overtly sexual out gay male to Susan Boyle, nice little lady who's safer than a snuggly blanket .
Adam is doing well as a new artist and his album will go gold soon(sales are roughly 360,000 right now) and his airplay is going great too. When was the last time mainstream America embraced someone like him? He is the first mainstream openly gay singer to be out at the start of his career. He is in unchartered territory with no path to follow which is the main reason why the editor of OUT Magazine and everyone else are in his face telling him what to do. We often see people saying they don’t want anything gay “forced” on them. So most of gay acts have to stay closeted or they have to hide any trait that might be construed as "too gay". I’m so sick of this s**t. Adam is like a breath of fresh air for me because he is a young out gay man with confidence, with sexual swagger, and without any hetero-pacifying neuter “harmlessness.” I'll conclude by saying this - If you whine that Adam Lambert is not the super model of homosexuality that you expect him to be, please feel free to step away from the computer, go into the real world and become the shining star and beacon of gayness for all of us. Adam is simply attempting to create an edgy persona.

He needs to be out here touching girls and looking like he is loving it as a gay man because his music... Well.... Is not really anything that exciting or attention grabbing. He makes up for that with his actions.
