I bet he'll barely sell over 100K by the end of his second week.

If you check the charts you'd see the selling machine that is Adele has been skewing the figures for some time now. On many of the weeks when she was number one, the number two record had similar sales to Adam's this week. If she had been taken out of the equation there would have been many more number ones with these kind of numbers in the last year. Only the established stars and huge teen acts have been selling big (and not all of them either. The Wanted debuted with 34k). It's the way the recording industry is going these days.

I don't care that you don't like his music. What I don’t get is why people like you feel the need to constantly nitpick and undermine every little thing he does. There is an evident lack of openly gay artists on top40 radio and there are hardly any openly gay male solo artists on major labels in the first place. That’s because if you’re an openly gay man you’re not even gonna get a major label record deal, at least not in the US. The fact is much of this country is still homophobic. So why don't you drop the negative attitude and just acknowledge young gay man’s accomplishmens. Adam’s breaking down barriers and for that he deserves credit – hopefully in the future we’ll have more young openly gay male artists who can have decent level of mainstream US success.

^^^ To be honest most of Adam's issue is he doesn't connect with that powerful gay/White girl audience.

If he was 5-10 years younger, had a tight body, and did dj features he would be competing with Rihanna and Katy.

An album full of shameless "If I had you"s would have been stellar for him.


Adam did a fantastic job so now an openly gay artist who has a "thing" If that is writing all their songs or amazing stage presence (Nice if they had both) can do their thing.

I personally enjoy the album and Adam will always have a career getting on stage and belting out.

On June 30th 2012 in Kiev, Ukraine, at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) a grand charity concert dedicated to the fight against HIV/AIDS will take place. Good friends of Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation as well as colleagues in fighting AIDS, legendary stars Elton John and Queen with Adam Lambert will rock Kiev to say: "Your life is not a game! Let's stop AIDS together". This concert will be the largest social and cultural event of EURO 2012. It will gather hundreds of thousands of people on the main square of Ukraine and be seen by millions of viewers on TV screens throughout Ukraine and Poland.

In recognition of the importance and the charitable status of this project, the musicians who will perform on that night will waive their fees.

The concert will be held under UEFA support one day before the EURO 2012 final in the official FAN zone of the football Championship. It will be broadcasted live on Ukrainian and Polish Television.

I hear that Scissor Sisters have a big gay following in the U.S. and they were an oepng act for Lady Gaga's U.S. tour last year. But their new album "Magic Hour" sold less than 10,000 copies and debuted at #35 on this week's U.S. albums chart. Where are the powerful gay audience? Interestingly, Jake Shears says that he thinks his band isn't embraced in the U.S because of their camp image.

Asked about whether or not he thinks the band's camp image held them back in North America, he said: "I'm sure it has, but I don't worry about it. I accepted a long time ago that there would be bumps along the road."

Any Adam Lambert fans?

When Adam Lambert was on American Idol, I was really bummed that he did not win. There was a rumor going around at that time that some religious nuts had hundreds of people in various churches using the speed dial button to vote for Kris Allen, to squash any chance of the american idol fag winning. Well? Who is the real winner now!!

I was very excited when "for your entertainment" came out, and just loved the album off the get go. No surprise that the song "Fever" was actually written by lady gaga. And, you can actually find her version of it online. Though the Adam lambert version is better. Other songs I like on the Album are "aftermath" and "If I had you." Though almost all the songs are good ones. I also have the "glam nation" concert video.

His latest release. "Trespassing." is even better than "For your Entertainment." It's got some really funky songs on it. "Shady" and "Coo Coo" are my favorites. Another good one is "naked love" There are also a couple ballads on it, of which my favorite is. "outlaws of love."


I also listened to Kris Allens albumn once. Total snoozefest.

Kris Allen came to our campus in Sept.. I didn't even know he was there til after the fact. talk about shitty promotion but they did put some youtube vids of the concert and it looked sad. just him on a small stage, no crowd. low key, looked boring.. hes a nice guy but not sure he should have won.. if Adam Lambert came to our campus to perform, ooooo child,, the whole town would be up in arms and very much be aware of his appearance.. I would love to see him!! he does rock. I fell in love with him when he sang Mad World on the AI show sitting in a chair. unbelievable!

Adam Lamberts current Album "Trespassing" actually knocked Jennifer Lopez off the top of the pop chart at one time. And he was keeping up with the big guns, like Lady Gaga, and Madonna's DNA in sales. He is doing a lot better the some of the newer Idol winners. I hear that Kris Allen, and Lee Dewize. have the lowest record sales of any male idol winner. Though I don't think anybody will ever be able to surpass the immediate success of Clay Aiken. Except for maybe Daughtry, who has pretty much surpassed them all. Minus probably Carrie Underwood, and Kelly Clarkson

But, sometimes when I look at him, i wonder if he is somehow related to George Michael. His apperance looks very Wham-ish.

“Ghost Town” is #48 on US iTunes right now and is finally taking off on American pop radio This will end up being a decent hit, which could do wonders for future releases. Sometimes label and artist need to be patient with their single to take off.
