Adam Lambert [merged]

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

The gays are still nitpicking I see. Cant anyone read? He was never in the closet. So why is everyone giving him grief. He never pretended to be straight and even changed female pronoun lyrics in his performances. He never denied being gay but if you use your brain, if he stirred up all this controversy during idol all everyone would be talking about is his sexuality. No one would focus on his performance at all. He would just be Gay Adam or the Gay Idol and nothing more. I'd like to know what all you critics would have done if you were in the same position as him.

Unfortunately, some people have already made up their minds that they don't like him. And nothing that they see or hear is going to change their minds. Even if we found out the sound of his voice cured homophobia, AIDS, and cancer, there'd still be people complaining that they have to hear about him.

I really appreciate your posting. I've seen the cover before, but every time I see it I get more tempted to buy it. Thank you. :=D:

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

I wonder how photoshopped that RS pic is. For one thing Adam is a natural blonde, so he should not have dark chest hair. Plus, I have seen a few pics/vids of him showing a bit of his chest. No hair. I wonder if RS "added" chest hair to make him appear more manly---i.e.--"straight"........

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

That's your first fucking problem, right there. You start the whole "gay vs bi" war by doing shit like that - FUCKING QUIT IT.

Because he was masquerading like he wasn't gay when it was blatantly obvious that he was, and he made that notion WORSE when he said - and now i'm quoting YOUR quote:

"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear I'm gay." He explains: "I've been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man. I've been at clubs drunk making out with somebody in the corner."

The Idol favorite, who finished in second place after Kris Allen, says, "Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, 'I'm going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.'

Which tells me, he was already out, but instead of being out on the show, or even AFTER the show, he decided to wait for a magazine to tell the rest of the world - which reeks of opportunism.

I never heard him change anything. He never denied it how? He never answered the question straight out - doesn't that seem like a denial? A half truth is still a lie - again, all could have been avoided with a simple "yes".

And i KNOW this is irony, but he didn't come out... and all people talked about... was his sexuality. So... i don't see the difference.

If i had the voice to be on the Idol Top 12 and i was asked the question, and i lived as an out gay man for 8...7...2...1 year prior... fuck, 6 months prior, i'da said "yes" and then told you about the song i'm about to sing.

I didn't know "proud" had a price tag.

And I do not hate Adam, btw. I hate what he did to "come out" - i hate even more, that some people are just blind to it.

What is wrong with you? This has nothing to do with gay vs bi. I include myself in the gay community.

The kid never masqueraded like he wasnt gay. He didnt pretend to like girls, he didnt deny being gay, so what are you talking about? He just didnt say. He wasnt masquerading anything. He was a proudly out homosexual to all his friends and family. How was he supposed to be out on the show? Was he supposed to grab the mic from Ryan and say "btw everyone before I sing this song I must proclaim to everyone that I'm gay!" He doesnt need to do all that dumb shit.

And he was already OUT. He just didnt let the media make a spectacle of sexuality instead he controlled it as much as he could. Why not transfer all this silly negative energy your putting into being upset that Adam didnt "come out" in a way that perfectly to suit your standards, and instead support someone who is breaking ground for people like you and I?

That's not true I know several people who are natural blondes and redheads but have black pubes and chest hair. As far as the existence of hair, I doubt it was put in. He prolly just used to shave but then recently decided to grow it out.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

did simon cowell tell him to show off the chest hair?

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

Yey for Adam. Of course, we all knew it.

And yey for admitting he was into Kris. lol.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

Holy crap people... this is rediculous... we KNEW this was happening like a week or two ago, and the freakkin season ended 3 weeks ago...

well there is no such as bad press, so all this "controversy" (I use the quotes because I dont get why there even is one) will just further put Adam in the spotlight, and that can be nothing but good for him.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

Will there ever be a season of Idol without the "guess which contestant is the gay one" story?

Next season, all the contestants should do as the students did in the movie In & Out with Kevin Kline. Let each stand up and say he/she's gay. And everyone in the audience, too.

As a way of giving the finger to the producers of the show and the media who keep hyping (or is that exploiting?) this storyline.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

Yeah we knew..but we knew Brad and Angelina were dating before it was "official" and countless other celeb couples. Give the dude a break.

He has a nice smile.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

Why Is Kris Allen Not On The Cover Of Rolling Stone? Fuck!

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

LOL!!! Wait in line lol

Seriously though, Here is hoping the media will stop whoring him out, HE'S NOT THE FUCKING WINNER! Focus on the winner UGH!

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

Let's see... Adam hid that he was gay on Idol so he wouldn't lose votes then played coy until he could cash in on it, dissed rockers saying that Rock & Roll is all just Halloween dress-up, called the fans that voted for him "bitches", made out in clubs while stoned and drunk, is a pot, X and mushrooms drug user, established an alliance with two other contestants during the show while promoting the idea that this was the first season where all contestants were just so super close only not, made his disdain for the AI show clear, dangled the bait that he's almost ready to experiment with women, shows off his boyfriend while saying he doesn't want to discuss a current relationship, embodied every negative gay stereotype out there, crapped on "chorus boys" and made it clear that theater isn't good enough for him and he's too good for rock music. insulted Gene Simmons by saying he was a bad singer, lashed out repeatedly at Clay Aiken because Clay didn't like ROF, said he didn't want to come out on a Celebrity Entertainment magazine and then did exactly that.

I think that he managed to offend nearly everyone before he has done a damn thing.

I've read the interview. He didn't diss rockers, he was talking about himself cos he loves playin dress up as a performer. And he never called his fans "bitches". I know you are a bitter Claymate, but stop twisting words of him.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

I think the attacking goes both ways. Just a few posts above, Joesman called G-Man an asshole because he said that Adam looks like Boy George. Let's not pretend as if everyone who isn't an Adam fan is automatically a hateful bastard. That road travels both ways.

Actually Kenny, it wasn't the Boy George statement. It was the set gay people back 20 years junk.

And might I say this with the utmost distaste for your own views - [moderator edit: name calling is a violation of the Code of Conduct; text removed] Is it personal to you. I don't get you at all. I always thought you the most rationale of all of us and yet your comments have been downright ugly and mean. Just because you don't get something doesn't mean other people should follow suit. Your soap box is breaking.
Originally it was the producers you wanted to suffer because they promoted Adam but now I see it as a personal vendetta against Adam himself.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

It's kinda bad because it makes him look like a big opportunist.
He said he lived his life openly, so why didn't he just continue doing that on Idol? Why keep up the guessing game if it's an easy game to win? Had he simply waived the notion with a yes, i'd get behind him alot more... instead, he played coy. Which is simply annoying.

What? C'mon now. He just wanted some cash. He got it. Big deal. Everybody already knew he was gay, and the "guessing" game is a game a million celebrities play, whether it is about "maybe i'm pregnant", "maybe we're a couple" or, in this case, "maybe I'm gay", I don't think anyone can say it is bad in any of those cases. What would annoy me is if he played like he was heterosexual and never came out, but he just waited a couple of months because Rolling Stone had the exclusive.

Errr don't think so lol.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

American Idol has very little to really do with talet.

Because singing is not a talent .

Oh and Its Talent not talet.

Anways Good for Adam coming out.

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

When a Jubber, newcomer or not, makes a post that they finally came out, everyone applauds them. Why are we not happy for Adam??? Why the hell has this turned into a hate-fest?

Re: Adam Lambert officially comes out in Rolling Stone

^ Cause he was out for 8 years as a gay man and went back in the closet for American Idol only to come out, again.

On a magazine cover.

That is so stupid. He never went back in the closet. He was always out. He didn't stand on a rooftop and declare it which would have opened a whole other can of worms with these self loathing morons on this and other boards.
