A fixture of my childhood...he brought broad camp to the superhero world.

I can remember watching Batman when I was a kid and being intrigued by his 'tights'. We used to have a View-Master and I bought a set of Batman reels so I could see him in 3D.

For all the fun and entertainment and wonderful memories, I thank you, Adam.

Rest peacefully.

This really got me out of nowhere when I opened my social media and as the articles. I've only ever seen the original Batman show in reruns but i remember it being my first introduction to batman when I was really little. I remember I would pretend to be Adam west's Batman whenever I'd see the show and I'd watch it for hours sometimes. Adam West will truly be missed.

Sad news indeed, looks like 2017 is another one where the Reaper is hitting the celebrity's, of past and present. RIP.

Rest In Peace Adam

Batman was a regular program for me to watch on Thursday Nights in the 60's.

He brought a sense of humor to his role as "Batman". Loved the series on ABC years ago. Dry humor at times but "campy".

Whose gonna be mayor or Quohog now?

RIP Mr. West

No! He will be missed. To me he is the one and only Batman

Nothing from me except the Highest admiration for Adam West.

The role of Batman so dominated his career that if Adam had been a lesser man, he would have been totally consumed with anger directed at a media landscape & fanbase public that wouldn't let go of the "Caped Crusader".

But while it was a rough go for Adam at first, he later embraced the Batman fandom and reached back to all the people who loved his portrayal as Batman.

I will always remember Adam West as Col. Dan McReady from the movie, "Robinson Crusoe on Mars" - 1964.
This was the last major Hollywood release before the NASA spacecraft, Mariner 4 , rendezvous with Mars in 1965 - revealing for the first time the true nature of the Red Planet.

Rest In Peace Adam West - your old friend Lil' Edd will miss you!

I could go gay for a man that handsome:

Mr. Anderson, I cannot be sad for your passing -- it was a long run.

Thank you for the laughs, for the fun of imagining, and for not taking fame too seriously. Honest to God, I don't know how Robin kept his hands off you. I will miss your campiness most of all.

Go in joy. Peace out.

What floored me about Adam was his ability to see himself as, "Adam West", the Brand.

His ability to mix-it-up with comedy situations made me howl with laughter - live action and animation.

He was the star in some of my earliest wicked nasty sex fantasies....so thanks Adam (and Burt)... and RIP...
