Adobe CS5 is out

I'm usually one of those first-upgraders but I just can't see why to do it this time. I do nothing in mobile in terms of design; mostly web with some print is all.

I'm lucky in that I do some work for Adobe and they, in return, give me a free Master Collection each cycle. So I don't need to buy it - I'll have it when it becomes available.

TheCS4 upgrade cycle was relatively unimpressive, I agree. I think CS4 should have been CS3.5. To be fair, the big news about CS5 is full 64bit code, a huge under-the-covers change, which is bad news for people with older computers/OSs - they won't be able to use CS5!

For users of After Effects especially, the 64bit change is a massive deal, completely changing the way we will work. Finally my 16GB of RAM will get a real workout!

I'm still using Photoshop Elements version 1

^ So am I and even THAT'S too much.......
THINK of the money we've saved!....... ..|

OK.... I would really want CS5 if I only had Elements 1. But for those of us using CS4, there really is no point.

content aware filling looks really promising, but the hdr improvment .. err well photomatix is still superior i'd say ..
