Adult Circumcision

how did it make sex more enjoyable?
i thought it was supposed to kill nerves getting it done and when you go from one to the other when your older you notice unlike when u get it at birth
well he said that his friend had a painfull phimosis before. that doesn't really make sex enjoyable. in cases like that circumcision of course is a solution. better feel a bit less than feeling more pain than everything else ;)

Anyone on here had to have one? Was it for medical grounds? There's a possibility I may have to and I was wondering if any adults had been through this and could share their experience.

All info gratefully received.

Unless you get a profound infection under your foreskin, or your foreskin fits so snuggly that erections are painful, therer is no clinical indication for circumcision. My advice would be to keep yourself as nature intended you to be: the hood is there for a reason. Highly sensitive tissue under there! I wish they'd left me intact :(

The boy is healthy, happy, and functioning fine below the waistline. He does not remember the incident. But I do. My apologies if I took this subject too far off topic.

This is not necessarily the case. I've seen the procedure done, and most guys wail uncontrollably upon being snipped. What a traumatic thing to have done to you during the first couple of days of life! While you certainly retain no concious memory of it, it must get imprinted somewhere.

that it sometimes is a traumatic incident is quite known. i have read on pro circumcision websites, that this is a good thing, because it helps to make your boy a "real man".
now .. they must love their children ..

If you need to have it done for medical reasons, don't hesitate. Worse things than phimosis or infection can result. There is no difference that I can perceive in my enjoyment of sex. If you just want to change the look, well, I guess it's like a facelift, if the change means it's worth all that expense . . .

I had foreskin that was too tight and wouldn't retract even after using some prescribed cream (designed to help it stretch) and my doctors advised that I have it done.

I decided to have it done, but after doing a lot of reading the night before about loss of sensitivity and so forth I asked the doctor just before he put me under if instead of giving me a full circumcision he could just cut off the end part which was so tight. He looked at me a little oddly and said "sure I don't see why not."

I have to say that was the best thing I could have done. I now have what I would consider to be the perfect foreskin which just covers the end of my penis when soft, and slides back easily at all times. My doctor even said that it was "cosmetically perfect" when he saw me on the followup and asked me more about why I had asked to have it that way. I explained it to him and how happy I was with it (the cock I always wanted! lol) and he said he was going to offer it as an option to patients who have similar irretractable foreskin issues.

I'm not a huge fan of the circumcised, tattooed or pierced dicks. I can understand if it's for medical necessity. But to each his own.

Curse you all for now even having me consider dehelmeting my little stormtrooper! ;) All these years I've been perfectly content with being modestly covered and would have thought it heresy to even think about getting circumcised. You all have raised some great questions and points that got me thinking, however. Like ddddddddz, my foreskin is loose when my dick is not erect (I refuse to call it limp. I am never limp.), but barely retracts a few mm and fits tight when erect. Keeping things clean and infections have never been a problem. It's not that I've gone to extraordinary measures, it's just never been a problem. Having said that, it never has retracted fully and does seem tighter now than in years before, and I've had neither oral nor anal sex. (If I weren't agnostic, I would have made an awesome Catholic priest). All that will definitely change in the not-so-distant future. I haven't come out of the closet to be celibate.

From everything that's been written so far, it sounds like I need to talk to my doctor when I go back for a follow-up cholesterol check in two months. Meanwhile, my dick's been on strike for the last day and a half thinking I might leave him defenseless after all these years. Thanks a lot guys!! :D

cir makes a prettier penis and I have had friends that had it done as adults say that their cocks grew i n length and girth after being circumcised

That's either self-perception or a little thing called swelling/scarring.

I'm 22 and have considered doing it too. However, I don't want to be 40 and think back that this decision was a stupid one. Part of me wants it for cosmetic reasons but I also might look into it for medical reasons as well. I can retract my foreskin back but the frenulum (that raised skin under the head) is attached all the way to my urethral opening (pee whole) instead of those which stop just under the head. I've had times that it rips during sex (talk about an erection killer).

I guess what I would do is just to go halfway - I really want to remove the frenulum and later down the line I'll see if I want to remove all of my skin. My hesitation would be if the doctor does a poor job and I am left with some freaky looking dick. Would my shitty HMO (Kaiser Permanente) cover such a thing?

I was circumcised in around 40. Being married at the time I could not keep from catching infections, most being yeast type. My doctor finally talked me into getting the foreskin removed after numerous efforts to find other solutions.

As far as rashes and infections I have never had one since which is good.

However, I wish I had my foreskin. As far as jacking off and stuff it was self lubricating and there is no comparison. Aesthetically I think an uncut cock is the most beautiful piece of meat there is. My boyfriend and I are both cut and we have a great time together. I have never sucked or fucked anyone with an uncut cock and wish I had.

If you can get medical treatment that solves the problem without getting clipped I would recommend that. But if not a cut dick is better than one that gives problems. Hope this helps.[STRIKE][STRIKE][/STRIKE][/STRIKE]

I had it done and it is absolutely wonderful to be a convertible.......the sensation is great, very sensitive and it is something I would certainly do again.
I had 27 stitches around the head of my penis after surgery that just dissolved by themselves in a couple of days....after this it has been wonderful.....no loss of sensitivity, really more. Sex feels much better.
The main thing is to do what you feel is best for yourself......to do this is not in any way mutulation of your member if this is what you want....it was perfect for me. I did it for personal reasons.....I just wanted it done.
