I just think it's unfortunate that an adult son kissing his father on the mouth is seen as dirty. No one thinks anything when an adult daughter does it.
 
I find it kinda strange tbh, but to each their own.

I am not so sure about that.
 
I see nothing wrong with it, rather that than the pretentious air kissing.
 
I greet my mom with a kiss on the lips and my dad with a handshake as does everybody I know.
 
Know an Italian born but raised in France---(has a heavy french accent) lives in NYC and Rome---who kisses his 3 amazing sons on the lips. Looks very natural for them---they are close family.
