Advice / Venting

Doesn't matter if you "know," or not. What goes on in your head intellectually is not the same thing as what you feel based on negative attitudes you were raised with and haven't dealt with yet.

That's what I mean when I say there is a difference between admitting you like men and accepting it.

You can admit to yourself any number of things that you still believe are wrong.

In the case of gay, if you still feel that being gay is wrong, no amount of knowing you're gay is going to change that until you confront the reasons you equate gay with being wrong.

Oh and no, you're not strange, that's really common.

Good for you. By the way, are you doing your mirror exercises?

I mean it, that works.

You just need to be egocentric. "I am gay, ergo gay is good, and whoever thinks different can fuck themselves". It's very simple if you can channel that way of thinking.

Sadly, it's always come naturally to me, so I can't give advice as to how to get there...
