Forget that one. The Republicans only whine about certain stuff. Most are from huge agricultural states making a lot of bucks of corn in Ethanol. Not only are chickens and pig eating corn which in turn we eat, as well as the corn syrup.
You had no choice and the Republicans fully support, why no choice? rather you can get gasoline with or without ethanol. I would as most smart people choose never to use it.
Its wrecking small engines like lawnmowers, boats, & not regularly used equipment because it holds and attracts moisture. It also lowers the mph by up to 4%. The Republicans would have no problem increasing ethanol from 5 - 10% up to 15%, which would destroy older car engines.
......But they have a problem with light bulbs and health insurance why forcing other products on the public, ethanol no problem.

Marine fuel can be sold without ethanol. I've met people who go down to the marina to buy their gas for all their small engines. It's "only" about sixty cents a gallon higher....
 
Jayhawk, you belief that everyone in a red state is Republican is false. Many are southern states with large low-income minoroties voting Democrat an recieving government benefits.
 
The big purpose of the Obama care is to give policies to those with pre existing policies. That is to be done by forcing everyone to buy insurance at high premiums in excess of their risk to generate the cash to give very expensive policies to ill people. But the many who cannot afford will get policies paid for by the taxpayer. So assuming those who have to pay for their policy are also likely to be taxpayers, they get hit with a double whammy?

Notice that, being Republican, i was able to discuss the subject without being rude.

This was intended to read the purpose is to give policies to those with pre existing illnesses.
 
Does anyone else find something strange about buying a product which only covers people who don't really use it? That should be your first clue about massive defrauding of the consumer right there.

Is New Mexico a red state? Projected to vote for Obama because of large hispanic population. I am pleased to learn that VT
, OR and ME are red states now. When did that happen? The red states on your map are not all Republican, or vice versa. Many of the Republican states are green on your map. And most of the big recipient states on the map have large Democrat- voting low-income minorities. See, your nastiness was misplaced.

Also the providing of affordable healthcare to those with pre-existing conditions IS an extremely valid necessity that obviously must be enforced by the government or it will not happen in a profit driven business. Why would you espouse the idea that people with medical conditions that are of no fault of their own should not contribute to society, receive care and not be forced to go bankrupt over the care required to stay alive? So you are now spartan? We should put the lame on a mountain and let them survive however they may?

Odd that Bush and republicans passed overwhelmingly US Taxpayer monies to provide Africans with drugs to fight disease but now republicans are against providing Americans with the same service. It just reeks of power desires instead of policy to help Americans. Perhaps if it is such a bad bill the republican legislators should have involved themselves in the process instead of being ignorant to the needs of their constituency.

Oh yeah these are the same legislators from the same states that take money hand over foot from blue states and use it for what they desire in their states. Odd huh?

The three states getting the most are NM, a Democrat state, Mississippi, Republican but with a large, poor, black Democrat minority, and West Virginia, again Republican with a poor Democrat minority. The rest are a mix. Some Dem states are pink as are some Republican states, but many of your pink states are swing states with minority Democrats. Many of the western states have hispanic and Native American minorities. Over all it appears that the poor Democrat minorities are the beneficiaries.
This line started back at 183 when you asserted that Republicans would soon call it Affordable. I disagreed because many of them will carry the buden of super premiums plus higher taxes to pay for the lower half. The income tax paying half of the country are being hit with a double whammy, even as their own health care is degraded. It is the old Marxist, "from each according to his ability....." meanwhile we continue to bring in more for the rest of us to carry.
 
The point is that the republicans will eventually rename the bill because it is going to stay and you better bet your ass they dont wanna talk about OBAMAcare around the budget table.

Last election which does not reflect the last twenty years because many red states saw the light. Or rather noticed the lights were off in Republican land. Look at the number of deficit states... those are the ones receiving fed funds in-proportionately to what they provide.

Wyoming
Utah
Montana
North Dakota
South Dakota
Idaho
Kansas
Missouri
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Louisiana
Mississippi
Alabama
South Carolina
Kentucky
West Virginia

I may have missed some but those are the welfare states that have taken much more in federal monies than they provide. They also voted for McCain which is a telltale of how predominately RED they are with Palin as a VP choice in 2008.

Now lets look at blue states that are of the same in needs.
Oregon
New Mexico
Iowa
Indiana
Virginia
North Carolina
Florida

I could do the math for you but I am sure you have eyes and a calculator. Billions of tax monies are funneled to under performing red states.

I am good with that because having third world states would be embarrassing BUT for those same idiots to claim they wanna cuts taxs and their throats is - well ignorant.
 
What happened to Maine and Vermont? You still cannot account for the fact that most or all the recipient Republican states have large, poor Democrat minorities which undoubedly recieve much of the largess.
