Just wondered if your friends/loved ones sensed or suspected and already knew you were gay.

Some people yes, others no. I don't come across as gay so unless I tell people most people have no clue. But some of my close friends and family knew.

Most said they already knew or I just confirmed their suspicion

I have not yet told someone who said that they knew, mainly because I don't really fit any gay stereotypes.

for me not sure. but when my friend came out, it was obvious and yet he asked how i know. it wasn't just because he wasn't dating girl. he was somewhat feminine and the way he acts. and he tends to touch me.

A surprise to roughly everyone I knew, although it did explain why I didn't date much. My friend predicted that his girlfriend would say, "Really? Wow!", and then, fifteen seconds later, "Yeah, OK, that makes sense. I sorta knew that." He won that bet. :)

For the few people I'd come out to, they were all surprised. Most of them thought I was pulling their legs. I guess my fashion style and nerdy look give me a pretty good disguise. Who says gay guys must be good in fashion???

If it's important in your mind, you ought to define what that "gay stereotype" is so that we may all be enlightened.

Everyone around me, from family to friends, expected me to come out at any moment. So, when I did, it was less of a shock.

However, my father didn't until I was 16 and my mother outted me to him. Even my stepmother knew (despite me not telling her), but he didn't. We suspect it was a case of Liberace Syndrome.
