Oh grow up, in the UK the age the age of consensual sex is 16!!! Although i think it should be 18 xxx
 
There is no "federal age of consent".

Age of consent is state law, and it varies by state.
 
No, in the UK both hetero and homo age of consent is 16, they made it equal mrbojangles :)

That's a pretty dumb statement imo. It's actually pretty common for a lot of straight boys to experiment with other boys, and have no problems still being straight later in life.

And the age of consent laws don't really stop teens from having sex anyway. They will still do it if they want to.
 
Don't get age of consent with age of majority(no longer considered a minor). In the US, the age of consent for sex ranges from 14-18 years of age, depending on the state one resides. The age of majority is mostly 18, and in just a couple of states it is 19. Be careful with these because a minor is still a minor no matter what the age of consent is.

Why should it be? Even if it was it wouldn't stop anyone. Its not like 2 15 year olds who want to have sex at the moment are counting down the days.
I think by the age of 16 you know well enough whats right and wrong and what to do.

Also I though the AOC in alot of US states was 16 aswell, for all. I think the places where its 18 are the minority.

I know there are states and countries where the age of consent is low BUT the age difference of the partners is taken into consideration. So in some places your friend might be breaking the law if he went out (or rather went in?) with a 18 year old EVEN if the age of consent were 18. BUT his partner could have sex with another 18 year old without breaking the law.

How do they determine what age difference is appropriate is beyond me. It all sounds too technical on a non-technical subject. Next they might take penis size into account, so as not to traumatize the newcummers.
