Age Restriction Access HELP!!!!

](*,) This problem has been eluding me for a long time -- I've tried asking about it here before and also at Yahoo Answers, so far no solutions.

On certain sites -- namely Yahoo Groups and on You Tube, whenever there's an age restriction prompt I can't get past it. On Yahoo Groups I'm a member of a couple of groups that have an age restriction, but when I click the "I Accept" button to verify that I'm legal, I just keep getting the same page. The same with You Tube, whenever there's a clip that has an age restriction on it I click the "Confirm" button (and yes, I am logged in) and nothing happens -- I keep getting the same page.

Since this is happening at more than one site, I wonder if there's some age restriction command in my computer that's preventing me from access. If so, I have no idea where it would be so that I can disable it.

Is there anyone out there who knows about age restriction commands on one's own computer. BTW I am running on Windows 2000 professional, if that's any help.

For the record -- I am of legal age.

What browser are you using?

I almost always use Firefox.

JDsmagik: I'm not clear which "Tools" ect. I should be clicking, but I've tried it for Firefox tools and I don't see anything that says Internet options. If you're talking about IE, then, as I've said, I mostly use Firefox.

I forgot to mention that I DO have cookies enabled and my personal firewall is set to allow these sites in, so I can rule those two problems out as well.

Computers don't age-restrict like that. It's probably cookies per above.

I'd double-check your profiles at Yahoo and YouTube just in case you've screwed up your date of birth! If your profiles have you as under 18 then you won't get in!

I've tried to check my profile at Yahoo, unfortunately they don't let you access what age you registered as (it just says "information on file"), however I'm sure I gave my correct age -- I'm pretty careful about that when registering for things. Also, I haven't always had this problem since registering at Yahoo -- this problem has come up only in the last few months, so I don't think it could be incorrect info.

I signed up for YouTube just recently and know I gave them the correct information.

I might try Goula's tips and see what happens.

Still, it pisses me off that Yahoo doesn't offer personalized advice for this kind of thing -- I can only look for solutions through forums! ](*,)
