Not just Minneapolis. Like I said in the OP, every country on earth has seen riot, looting, and destruction in the past. White, black, Asian, Hispanic, you name it.

Not white supremacists joining in, Antifa. Besides, riots bring out common criminals and others looking for free stuff, and young men looking for a high. I'd like to add that the Antifa crowd joins peaceful protests with the intent of turning them violent. My radical socialist friends are happy to see destruction of this sort because they think it will ensure the re-election of Donald Trump which will lead to further violence and destruction and ultimately lead to the end of the US as we know it and in its stead a dictatorship of the proletariat. (My radical socialist friends come from rich families, live in posh neighborhoods, and send their kids to posh schools. The only working class people they know are the housekeepers, gardeners and laborers they employ. They love Trump because they believe he embodies the true America, which they hate. Why are they my friends? Because I've known them since boyhood and they are loyal and devoted, generous of spirit and fun to be with.)

As a radical antifascist myself I must agree that Antifa is quite a strange medley of ideologies. A lot of the folks are pretty totalitarian themselves. The very purpose of their violence is to silence their opponents.

The hell it's not. Of course it's a group. It coordinates strategy and plans attendance at events. It may not be formal like NRA or something, but a lot of BLM is just as informal, but coordinated.

But this isn't about either, really. It's about looting and rioting. And it's against black business owners where it happened so hugely counterproductive aside from getting headlines for a cause. But tell that to the businesses that were looted and were at no fault for the murdered man in question.

Am I interpreting this right? It's turning into a clash of the anarchist ANTIFA vs the white-supremacist Nazi's? That sounds to me like what both sides want, a civil war. I think that is what the president wants too, actually.

Stacks of bricks are showing up everywhere around the country at protest places. Somebody is really setting things up for more destruction.

This is a brilliant move by whoever that wants to incite more violence. Doubters could always claim it's for construction. But the thing is these piles of bricks are showing up at places where there's no construction at all.

Regarding my previous post about the piles of bricks.

I was an engineer and construction manager for almost a decade before. I know most people are not in construction so they can't tell if these piles of bricks appear out of place or not. So, let me point out something that most people don't know.

In most of these pictures, the piles of bricks are low grade gray bricks. Even in the pictures with brick sidewalks around, notice how the brick sidewalks are made of red bricks. So, we know that these bricks were put there not meant to replace or repair the sidewalk. In most of these pictures, there is no construction in site.

But let me point out something that I don't expect anyone outside of construction would know. Again, these are low grade gray bricks. Most of the time, they are not used for construction that you see. They are very cheap and weak. In construction, they are used as fillers. Say you are building a concrete pipe run from point A to point B, these bricks are used to fill in the gaps between the pipe sections as well as the pipe and the underground concrete structures. The workers would put the bricks in place and then use mortar to fill in the gaps. They are also used to hold up the pipes to the appropriate elevations before either sand or concrete is poured down to permanently hold the pipes in place.

In other words, you won't just find these bricks at any construction site. Different types of bricks serve a different purpose. So, if you see these low grade gray bricks, expect to also see excavation work being done. Or forms being built for a bigger structure. As a construction manager, I would never have my guys just put a pile of brick anywhere. Why? Because we know that people tend to use them to throw at stuff. And this is another thing I wanted to bring up. Believe it or not, construction managers are not idiots. Most people may find equipment and materials randomly placed in a construction site. But trust me they are carefully planned out by the CMs. We know that when our guys are not there people tend to wander onto construction sites and do stuff. The last thing we want is for people to have easy access to stuff like piles of bricks to throw them at our equipment and surrounding businesses. Not just bricks but other things as well. For example, equipment are strategically put in places where they are not easily stolen or damaged. Etc.

So, to me, these piles of bricks seem out of place even if there are construction going on near by. Someone purposefully put them at protest rally points. I think it is brilliant because if you're not in construction (especially in management) you wouldn't think much of it.

As to who would do such a thing. Unless there is thorough investigation, there's really no way to know who is behind ordering these bricks to be placed where they are.
