Ahhh, coffee!

If you've seen some of my old threads, you'd know it's the small things for which I live!

So, just a little while ago I hopped into the shower. I turned on the coffee maker. I let my doggie out. I drifted off to another world under fall of the water.

I leave the shower and make my way to Mr. Coffee and added my brown sugar (which, BTW, I find is the best for coffee.) G-d bless Mr. Coffee!

Just a few minutes ago I was outside on the deck with my dog.

My dog, fresh coffee, morning autumn air: perfect.

It's good to be alive.

That is so my routine in the morning! I take the dogs out and make the coffee...I love the raw sugar in my coffee and I am hoping that I can find the raw sugar cubes as they are so easy! I am so sad...I take coffee into the shower with me to drink while I am showering! I think it is a multi-tasking!!!

Well... I usually take either a glass of scotch or a beer into the shower; it depends what time. Scotch in the morning and beer in the afternoon/evening. =]

So, Christopher, what are you doing up so early?

^ OMG...sacrilege!!!

I couldn't take a glass of my single malt into the shower....it might get diluted!

(Not to mention that I can't drink alcohol before the evening anyway!)

But...Coffeee...Ahhh yes...Can't go without my fresh ground and fresh brewed morning 'Heart Starter'. (I'm on a roll with Mocha Kenya at the moment...bliss)

Early? You have dogs...you know how they are...I get up at 5:00 AM during the week for work and am one of those pathetic people that cannot stay in bed too long on the weekends. Having the the dogs forces me to get up and take them out. My partner (a non-coffee lover, BTW) can go right back to bed after taking the dogs out in the crisp morning air...Not me...Plus, we are in the process of renovating our house, so I love to get up and do stuff!!!!

I am already swilling pot number two of coffee!

Yup, pot number 2. I have another 10+ hour day at the office I expect.

I'll finish coffee by 11am and then move to raspberry tea with a splash of brandy for the afternoon.

So, you're one of those 'busy bodies' I hear about!

I am on my first cup, but since i am on the west coast, it is just about 8:45am. It is a cool morning here in Portland. It was 41f/5c when I woke at 8. But I love the crispness in the air. And yes, I hope everyone has a great day!!

(I think thats mostly an English thing since everywhere else in the world they start with coffee...)

I like to let my pallette adjust to the day before I have a coffee.
