AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Yes, it is quite something with the sound on  : I usually never care about the sound of videos.

Blue eyes... and tatooed shaved pubic hair and balding treasure trail
They didn't eve care to set actual BCN streets in most of the backgrounds...

To one thing you have to give credit: at least, they are not blurring the images with that Andrew-Blake style of 1990s soft focus that one could find in the VV and the like
omg....omg....all I could think of wasa that someone in Asia also asked AI what it though Barcelona should be.

I am still not over the experience.

You have to admit the real guys walking in the street do look much better, and not just because they are not flat coloured airbrush jobs...

Actually, what is happening with "knowledge", the net, AI... follows the same course of attraction of the "popularization", "democratization", that is, "dumbing down" or "reality" to the ability of the Mental Black Hole of the Sovereign [Mass of The] People: nothing exists or is true unless The People are willing to accept it as such... and the whiners are not immune to that, even if only in relatively backwatered fields or topics.

Whenever the masses, the "audience" (today more than ever so) is sovereign, it is not truth, but "likeability" and veri-SIMILITUDE the supreme rulers of their beliefs and judgement.

By now, many of you have probably seen the unintentionally funny (and telling) woke images generated by Google's Gemini:

"At some level, of course, the revelations of the past week have been hilarious. It would be hard to parody portraying a Founding Father as Asian, the Pope as female, or a Nazi soldier as black. But we’d be mistaken if we think this kind of funny historical inaccuracy is the core problem here. That’s what Pichai wants us to think. But the bias of men like him goes far deeper. For years now, Google has subtly rigged searches of the web to advance the leftism its woke staffers have adopted as an alternative to religion. It’s an invisible way to guide and direct public opinion and information — without having to make an argument or persuade people with evidence. The “emotional labor” that Gemini will save is exponential!"

Fewer have probably seen the lies that writer Matt Taibbi discovered that Gemini generated when he asked that the AI app create an essay about his work:

"The 'article' [that Gemini claimed he wrote] apparently featured this passage: 'Look, if Nestle wants to avoid future public-relations problems, it should probably start by hiring executives whose noses aren’t shaped like giant penises.' I wouldn’t call that a good impersonation of my writing style, but it’s close enough that some would be fooled, which seems to be the idea. An amazing follow-up passage explained that 'some raised concerns that the comment could be interpreted as antisemitic, as negative stereotypes about Jewish people have historically included references to large noses.' I stared at the image, amazed. Google’s AI created both scandal and outraged reaction, a fully faked news cycle."

(Both quotes are from Andrew Sullivan's blog of last Friday.)

And Taibbi's own piece on Gemini, with further libelous manufactured quotes:

AI is only a more streamlined, systematic, global way to deal with old same propaganda and social slandering and ostracism and lynching: the final outcome will be that nothing technological, no image (moving image too), audio or no piece of writing can be trusted, because they are fake.
That is, it will provide people with a new excuse NOT to believe the proofs they do not want to believe: they will feel right not to believe their eyes because everything they will be seeing will be considered fake... therefore, they will find the truth "inside themselves", inside their own unchallenged ignorance and prejudices because, let's not forget it, that on which "EVERYONE" seems to agree, above ideology and religion is to "trust their guts" and own "feelings".

AI simply generates right away, for everyone "aware" to notice, the lies and myths that take generations to be established as the truth and the facts, the beliefs of whole societies... and it always starts off as a show, a tale, a game: for decades people have been believing or doubting whether what they are told through movies and novels are history, facts, "the real thing".
And the only reason people like Matt Walsh are opposing the bias is because the bias is rubbing them the wrong way, not because it is wrong.

After all the "American Jesus" images, "historical paintings" and what not, through the years, what would you expect to come out of the current general vague assumptions of reality and history, from The Left like from The Right.
It just literally gives shape to the ghosts and fancies of the whole society and throw it all, not to one's own blind face, but to each other's... for THEM to see the prejudiced blunders.

The "problem" discussed is scooped down to history: that is, Gemini did not work on historical archives and understanding, but on Hollywood historical essays... now pan out to the whole span of "human knowledge", and the Sokal affair will appear as a funny minor quirk in comparison.

Gemini is built as a creativity and productivity tool "America, America"

and it may not always be accurate or reliable "Do not think, feel"

Theres going to be no jobs left lol

i am sure they are going to take over my job one day.

It was the plan from the moment they started to hire only younger people with underdeveloped intelligence and overdeveloped assertiveness :rotflmao:

Arlington, Texas is rolling out it's use of AI in traffic analysis and control after a pilot program at several major intersections in the city

James Cameron on AI from Financial Times Weekend:

"The machine could give you a plausible performance but it won't give you the quirky moment of creation that an actor gives that is particular to them and their life experience.

"Generative AI can...give you an image, but can't give you an emotion."
