you do understand what assault means don't you? regardless of whether someone threw something at him or not, Akon is still responsible for his own actions. Him picking someone up and throwing them is likely to be considered assault, and rightly so. he deserves to be arrested for it and fined. where the hell were his security people and why weren't they like 'um you can't do that.'

Well the kid was stupid throwing something at Akon, but that doesn't excuse him throwing the dude off the stage! That kid is so gonna sue.
 
While the thread is certainly an interesting debate with one side having a point and the other being demented, what I want to know is why the kid was throwing something at Akon, why the heck would you waste time and money to go to the concert if you didn't like them?
 
@outofeden: I was just thinking the same thing. There is never a reason to throw someone like that into the people standing there. Just a typical straight guy "I wanna show I'm a thug" thing. I think someone is becoming a little bit TO famous
 
Akon is 2 seconds from being yesterday news. The only reason hes still big, because he and that sell out (Gwen Stefani) have that stupid song. Hes in Gwen's shadow. But after that....hes gonna be another one hit wonder.
 
I was hoping the people would catch him but it looked like they moved out of the way and he fell to the ground. I do hope a law suit follows.
 
The child got what he deserved. Akon should have motioned the crowd to clear out or something though. I hope the punk was hurt, my generation, and younger doesn't seem to know the word respect.

I'm so not getting how the hell Akon is hot?! Did something happen like the world turning on its end or Pres. Bush get impeached? :confused: The fact that the kid threw something at old lame o Akon was wrong, but him getting his folks to bring the kid over there. So he could toss him off stage, but he's hot so he isnt responsible for his actions..:rolleyes: Let me know once he starts getting some talent and gets blasted for lame bullshit like this.

[I'm upset as I'm typing along here] Reportedly, the kid only threw a small plastic disc and those little CDs were handed out to attendees of the festival by a radio station (the concert promoter) solely as a free gift. Of course I don’t condone what the kid did, but what Akon should’ve done was to get the little jerk apprehended by security to be charged by the police and that’s it…but no, what Akon did was he picked up the kid and threw him down from way up high on that stage...he could’ve gotten killed! And we don’t even know how badly hurt that kid is. Reportedly, some people in the concert said they saw the kid land on his back…well if that’s true, he's probably paralyzed because that certainly wasn’t a short fall. What Akon did makes me think he has no conscience at all. I won't contribute to his earnings, period.
