do you guys think Alabama will stay on top ? After all they do face LSU next.....
Also Texas Tech they handled Texas this past weekend , but they have to face both Oklahoma and Oklahoma st in the next few weeks.

OK...let me try and be as non judgemental as possible. (I am a HUGE Alabama fan and being from the state doesn't help either)

The Alabama game next week is goin to be huge. Not only given the fact that LSU is a pretty good team, but so many personal emotions are goin to be playing a factor. The whole "Saban returns to the Bayou" will drive the Tigers to defeat the Tide even more than the fact of wanting to knock Alabama off the National scene. I personally believe, that as long as the Tide doesn't try to get ahead of themselves and treats LSU with as much respect as they did playing against Clemson, Georgia, Tenn....they should do fine. My personal prediction is going to be: 24- 20 Alabama. Personally, my biggest concern is if we make it to the SEC championship game, Florida will be our competition. Florida's offense scares me to death. They are crazy good and move very fast. Given, they haven't faced a good defense like Alabama has, BUT again, as long as our team shows up and plays as good as they have against Georgia, Tenn, etc...We should be able to hold on off, if not beat them

As far as the whole Texas Tech saga goes, if personally do not see them stayin undefeated. Face it, they have a great offense (much is the story of the entire Big 12) BUT they had a tough time with Texas once they finally had a good game plan to work with. Given, a win is a win, but can they hold on to being undefeated against OKie State, Oklahoma and most likely Mizzou in the Big 12 championship game?

I personally would LOVE to play Penn State in the championship game, if I had my way of course. Penn State and Alabama. Two traditional teams with two storied programs going head to head. That to me doesn't get much better.

Anyone elses thoughts?

I believe Alabama will handle LSU . i dont think its going to be a slaughter, but I am sure it will be close. i agree I dont see Texas Tech staying undefeated. They are new to this . Texas longhorns had 4 tuff games in a row (1) OKLAHOMA (11) MISSOURI (7) OKLAHOMA ST (6) TEXAS TECH , they were bound to loose one eventually.with them having to play Baylor TEX A/M and Kansas I dont see it happening again.

Anybody watching this LSU/Alabama game? Un-frickin-believable!!! Who blocks a 29 yard field goal for the game? To overtime we go!!!

O well - I got excited for no reason - Alabama wins... They keep there number one spot and will in all likelihood play for the national championship.....

That game was crazy !! A blocked field goal taken into O.T. It will be interesting to see where Texas Tech goes in the polls tomorow. Also can you believe Iowa giving it to Penn State ?

Now dont go that far, simple...

Alabama is going to have two other games to go before even thinking about playing in the National Championship game. (I don't consider Miss State to be TOO much of a threat to even consider to be worth a game, but who knows right?). Auburn game doesn't matter. Sure by lookin at the stats and stuff we should put Auburn away no problem, but given the fact that it's the Iron Bowl, all that goes out the door in my opinion. They will come at us with as much intensity as ever, boy wouldn't they dream to not only add to 7 in a row but knock us off of championship dreams in the process? More fuel for the fire. (However I do see us winning this one)

The SEC championship with most likely Florida will be the test. Florida's offense scares the shit out of me. They can put up points very fast and can put up LOTS. Their special teams unit is insane too. They've blocked countless punts in the last 4 games, and given that Alabama's special teams isn't the best in the world, this could definantly hurt us. Given, they haven't played as strong a defense as us, but who knows. It all comes down to who shows up on the field on any given Saturday.

All I got to say now is:
RAMMER JAMMER YELLOW HAMMER!

Excuse my ignorance, it's just I'm so fuckin excited to be national contenders again
