I do the AM/PM thing all the time.

My most common mistake is to just not turn the alarm on before I go to bed. Its probably my subconcious not wanting to get up.

West o' the Rockies, Dunkin' Donuts is only a rumor.

Alarm Clock catastrophe? I have too many worse things to forget I guess.

Any alarm clock catastrophes have been "operator error" as quoted above, except for one time the batteries in my travel alarm died overnight.

Other than during the time that I lived right above heavy highway construction that was so loud it drowned out the sound of the alarm, I am not aware of EVER having slept through an alarm, or turning it off (without remembering having done so).

No errors since I got an atomic alarm clock..is always too accurate and on time! :(
Oh man, I would died for a Dunkin' Donuts! Used to have 2 within a half a mile of me.....now it is only grocery chain dounts! Not quite the same! The Midwest NEEDS Dunkin' Donuts! Come on Cowboys wakeup??? hehehehe

Oh yeah. That reminds me.

Setting the radio alarm but not turning the volume up. ](*,)

My huge cup is next to the alarm clock. Last night my crush leaned over and spilled a litre of water over the alarm clock. I was 4 hours late to work and he was an hour late.

But he's adorable, so I forgave him. ;)

Orrrrrrrr! The reason for setting the alarm is so important that once it is set, you're so concerned about the possibility of the alarm not going off that you lay there all night AWAKE just to make sure it works.

Yahhh...I've had that before, too. Or a cousin to it, at least - I used to call them "clock dreams" - I'd spend the entire night waking up again and again and again, dozens or even over 100 times. because just as soon as I'd fall asleep, I'd dream that an alarm clock was going off. I hated that!

Blessedly, it's at least fifteen years since I've had those dreams. I had them the 3 or 4 times I didn't have any trusted way to assure I'd wake up when I needed to - usually due to forgetting to take a clock when traveling. (In the 1980's, one couldn't always depend on finding "a place that would sell an alarm clock" open at midnight, even in a big city.) Sometimes I had the dreaded "clock dreams" if the alarm was set for something really important, too,.
