Yes, having conversations is considered a no-no. Not that you have to be rude and not talk to people at all, but it’s pretty much an unspoken agreement that asking people personal questions or having conversations (could you imagine trying to have sex when you have to listen to people talking about things that are depressing or annoying?) is not the norm, usually if you really click with another guy and you want more than just sex you make arrangements to meet someplace else. There are actually videos on YouTube about bath houses and what to expect, of course it’s on YouTube so you won’t see anything X-rated. One of the other reasons I was never interested in having sex there is because I’ve had one night stands and one time “hook ups” with guys, and even though I loved the sex, I always left unfulfilled. I wouldn’t say I felt “used” or that I was doing something wrong, but it just wasn’t enough for me. It was like getting to drive a Ferrari Daytona but the car was limited from going over 65 mph: it’s just not good enough!
